Forums - General - Remember that kid who didn't get an X-Box 360?

Where in that link does it confirm what you said ? I know last I heard engadget was TRYING to do this, but I have not heard official word yet.

Has nobody thought that maybe this was a trap?

The parents couldn't afford a 360, so they wrap up a 360 box but put some clothes in it. The boy gets very upset on christmas day. They film it , put it on youtube and get tons of free stuff...

"Back off, man. I'm a scientist."

Your theories are the worst kind of popular tripe, your methods are sloppy, and your conclusions are highly questionable! You are a poor scientist. Especially if you think the moon landing was faked.

 Great quote

I feel really sorry for that kid, then again, I had to pay for 1/4 of my PS3...

Cruel sods, Only way I'd ever to that to my kid is if I did have the real deal hidden in another parcel

We donethis to a workmates stepson, put some bricks in a 360 box and hid the 360 upsatirs. Classic.

Only a quarter? I had to afford my own N64 and gaming PC as a kid. For the first, I sold my SNES and games (including a boxed version of SMRPG... ) and for the second, I had to get a summer job pushing shopping carts around in 90-degree weather, and in a uniform.

So, yep, you're so underprivileged that you had to pay for a WHOLE one-quarter of your PS3. :)

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

I like what Joystiq said about this:

"Those sweethearts at Engadget are attempting to contact Jonathan and his rapscallion parents to hook the kid up with a real 360 -- hopefully, they'll send Jonathan's folks a little something too. Perhaps a wrapped-up, car-shaped pile of parenting books left in their driveway would fit the bill."

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

ITS A TRAP!
