It's not irrational at all. I wouldn't buy it if I wasn't excited for it. It's just not really up to my expectations.
The highest rated Metacritic game on both is TLOU. XB1 doesn't have any 90+ rated exclusives. This year is not about exclusives.
But I don't just go by Meta but by what I like. I like K.I., I am playing Halo MCC, I will get SO and FH2 as well. Titanfall I have on PC.
Then what Xbox One exclusives are coming out in the next 8 months? Tell me?

Quantum Break? Ori and the Blind Forest? Fable Legends? All suposedly coming out next year.
And the One has a lot more 80+ rated AAA exclusives than the PS4. One remaster is not going to change that.
Finally, arguing with you is pointless. All I was trying to say is that you can't possibly crown one console UI superior over the other, especially when both are works in progress. Now we're getting in to which system is better, and that's something I'm not even going to touch.

QB, Fable, etc. don't have release dates. I know they are coming next year, but there is literally zero with release dates on Xbox One for now.
95 TLOUR 86 FF XIV 80 inFamous
88 Halo: The MCC 86 Titanfall 86 FH2 82 SO
3 versus 4 retail exclusives... is not a lot more, come on don't drink the Koolaid. It is likely to be 4v4 next week with LBP3, and we know The Order & Bloodborne are coming in spring. Does Halo MCC count if TLOUR doesn't?
Counting all games rated 80+, PS4 has 50 and XB1 has 27. That's is a lot more, and that's why XB1's store is measurably more empty.

I'm not going to argue this any more. For one, comparing FF XIV and Titanfall isn't a good idea, especially considering neither of them is even an exclusive. Secondly, TLOU:R is one game that is a marginal improvement over last year, while MCC is at least a complete remake of one game and a remaster of three others. Of course, you can count both of them, but which one presents the best value?
Finally, this debate was about the UI, which I see you have quietly shied away from. Good day.

I already made my point about PS4 UI > XB1 UI. Don't see much point in debating it.
're: games, the best value depends on which you've played before and personal taste. For me, Halo mcc is great value, but the remaster quality is limited. The old games are not like gen 8 games, but it's nice to play for nostalgia, whereas I think TLOUR can stand up to most gen 8 games and if you never played it on PS3 then it is like an entirely new and top quality game.
One being a remaster of a 1 year old game, and the other being remake of much older games doesn't matter to me, unless we are scoring effort instead of quality.
Anyway, didn't want to derail this, I was just saying I agreed with Gamespot's comment about PS4's better user experience.
