Are you trolling?  I much prefer the PS4's UI, and the store is fast and has a lot more content.  The Xbox One's store is like going back in time to the original PS3 Store (shudder).

Also i really disagree about the content too.  The grass is not as green on Xbox One as some would like you to believe.

Let's wait and see if they do one about the Xbox One.  I'm sure it will be a lot less positive.

I have both consoles and I mostly agree with that comment.

The comment at 4:00 is so spot on.

4:00 - "The best thing about having a PS4 is not having to use an Xbox One. The whole experience is just so much nicer. The Xbox One UI is still not quite there yet and not having to deal with that is one of the best things."

As an owner of both I couldn't agree more, Xbox One users have it bad and they don't know it.

I really wish sometimes that I could take some of the XB1 guys on here, show them the consoles side by side, show them how clunky the Xbox One is compared to the PS4's experience; and how amazingly empty and shit their store is compared to the PS4's.

Not sure if trolling, both of the UIs are fairly dry, seeing as that PS4 is all over the place with content and the One is full of ads. Also, the One makes up for the PS4 in terms of content by having (currently) higher rated exclusives in the store.

Really, I don't think anyone is missing out on anything (either that, or both fanbases are missing out, since the UI for both is still evolving).

Yeah, no, I'm not trolling. It just seems you have an irrationnal dislike for the One. For example, the One has better (higher rated metacritic) exclusives, and  I just don't see how you can possibly go against that. UI preferece is completely up to an individual, I really doubt people would change their preference just because you are of a differing opinion.

BTW, I have a PS4 and prefer the UI due to lack of ads, I just don't see how preference could be so clear-cut.

It's not irrational at all.  I wouldn't buy it if I wasn't excited for it.  It's just not really up to my expectations.

The highest rated Metacritic game on both is TLOU.  XB1 doesn't have any 90+ rated exclusives.  This year is not about exclusives.

But I don't just go by Meta but by what I like.  I like K.I., I am playing Halo MCC, I will get SO and FH2 as well.  Titanfall I have on PC.

Then what Xbox One exclusives are coming out in the next 8 months?  Tell me?

Quantum Break? Ori and the Blind Forest? Fable Legends? All suposedly coming out next year.

And the One has a lot more 80+ rated AAA exclusives than the PS4. One remaster is not going to change that.

Finally, arguing with you is pointless. All I was trying to say is that you can't possibly crown one console UI superior over the other, especially when both are works in progress. Now we're getting in to which system is better, and that's something I'm not even going to touch.

I do have to agree with this from a non gamer angle. The lack of photo viewing/editing, local media, DLNA, 3D Video Unlimited content, Printer support, and Playstation Home has stopped some of the casuals I know from jumping on the console so far.

As a gamer, this first year has been one of my favorite of all time. I have went back and played through 7 titles on PS Now for a grand total of $36 catching up on some things I skipped last gen. I also got to experience better versions on Tomb Raider (which I skipped) and The Last of Us which was worth 5 more buys. Killzone Shadowfall turned into one of the best FPS games in years through the updates it recieved. I have platinumed Infamous Second Son, Infamous First Light, and Need For Speed Rivals. That is only about a third of the time I have spent gaming on this system.

Like they said, the foundation is laid. Remote Play with Xperia Phones and a DS4 is amazing, and will only continue to get better. Share Play is the biggest feature so far this gen, and probably the biggest since Socom, and Xbox Live kicked of the console gaming craze. Then add in DLNA, 4K and 3D content via Video Unlimited, Local Media, and the big daddy, PlayStation Vue and next year Sony will have the best home electronic device ever created. Plus they will be dropping Exclusives, like Hansel and Gretel drop bread crums, and 3rd party devs will start pulling further ahead on PS4.

QB, Fable, etc. don't have release dates.  I know they are coming next year, but there is literally zero with release dates on Xbox One for now.

95 TLOUR
86 FF XIV
80 inFamous

88 Halo: The MCC
86 Titanfall
86 FH2
82 SO

3 versus 4 retail exclusives... is not a lot more, come on don't drink the Koolaid.  It is likely to be 4v4 next week with LBP3, and we know The Order & Bloodborne are coming in spring.  Does Halo MCC count if TLOUR doesn't?

Counting all games rated 80+, PS4 has 50 and XB1 has 27.  That's is a lot more, and that's why XB1's store is measurably more empty.

I'm not going to argue this any more. For one, comparing FF XIV and Titanfall isn't a good idea, especially considering neither of them is even an exclusive. Secondly, TLOU:R is one game that is a marginal improvement over last year, while MCC is at least a complete remake of one game and a remaster of three others. Of course, you can count both of them, but which one presents the best value?

Finally, this debate was about the UI, which I see you have quietly shied away from. Good day.

I already made my point about PS4 UI > XB1 UI.  Don't see much point in debating it.

're: games, the best value depends on which you've played before and personal taste.  For me, Halo mcc is great value, but the remaster quality is limited.  The old games are not like gen 8 games, but it's nice to play for nostalgia, whereas I think TLOUR can stand up to most gen 8 games and if you never played it on PS3 then it is like an entirely new and top quality game.

One being a remaster of a 1 year old game, and the other being remake of much older games doesn't matter to me, unless we are scoring effort instead of quality.

Anyway, didn't want to derail this,  I was just saying I agreed with Gamespot's comment about PS4's better user experience.

My 8th gen collection

Actually for anyone who never owned a PS3 TLOUR is a must have exclusive. Say what you want about it being a re-hash of the most awarded game in history, but for Wii or 360 owner interested in that sort of game it is a huge reason to be looking at PS4, along with all the quality 3rd party content.

There's also no must have exclusive on Xb one.

If we exclude all games that are available on at least one other platform then Xb one's top retail exclusive is Sunset Overdrive, and PS4's is inFamous: Second Son. And they both have similar metascores. If PS4 is selling on a lick and a promise, so is Xb one, only it's inferiority in hardware and 3rd party game performance means it offers less promise and more lick and hence is not selling as well.

Therefor the only must have exclusives so far this generation are on Wii U, but it seems the vast majority of gamers don't see Wii U as a must have console.

While it is true that a lot of pissing contest between Xb one and PS4 is all about counting pixels, the qualitative differences between cross gen games is significant enough for people to feel very satisfied in the new gen upgrade even if most of the games they've bought are available on their previous gen machines. Shadow of Mordor and Dragon Age: Inquisition are good examples of games that benefit a great deal from being played on new gen hardware.

"One of Shadow of Mordor's most ambitious features scaled back for Xbox 360/PS3
Nemesis system won't have the same level of depth and variety if you're playing on older machines."
http://www.gamespot.com/articles/one-of-shadow-of-mordor-s-most-ambitious-features-scaled-back-for-xbox-360-ps3/1100-6417861/

"Dragon Age: Inquisition for Xbox 360/PS3 won't look as good as Xbox One/PS4, but there's no gameplay compromises
Producer Mark Darrah says graphics won't look as strong on last-gen compared to Xbox One and PS4, but gameplay mechanics should be the same wherever you play."
http://www.gamespot.com/articles/dragon-age-inquisition-for-xbox-360-ps3-won-t-look-as-good-as-xbox-one-ps4-but-there-s-no-gameplay-compromises/1100-6419125/

Especially in the case of SoM, if you're not on new gen machines then you will have a lesser experience.

You can also see that gamers are choosing the new gen version of cross platform new releases. Even Fifa 15 which is performing very weakly on Xb one still has a new gen lead because of the strength of the PS4 sales.

It's pretty obvious that a lot of people want to play the best console versions of cross gen games, which means a lot of people choosing to move to the new generation even though they don't have to. And there are a handful of true exclusives, on both platforms, which are worth looking at.
