This is one of those "who the hell in their right minds thought this was a good idea?" games.

Sega no longer needs Sonic to sell consoles, so at this point they're just milking the franchise for all it's worth. They're not going to invest resources into Sonic, especially after this disaster.

One of the things I'd hoped for when Sega bought Atlus was that Sega would let Atlus handle some localizations of other Sega properties like Shining Resonance, Phantasy Star Nova, or Yakuza. Thankfully I kept those expectations pretty low.
This is what happens when you give a good franchise to a bad company.....this is almost the same situation with colonial marines.
Man Nintendo might be a bit annoyed that they spent money on poor quality games. Then again with the cartoon it might still sell, guess we'll have to wait and see.
Im still going to try the game as I doubt it could be worse than sonic 06. Honestly I think this game is being underscored by reviewers who don't like that it's not "sonic". Not that im saying it's a good game, just that theyre being extra harsh.

Sonic 3 on the Genesis (Megadrive) is still one of my favorite games to this day! And that game is older than me!
Sonic Adventure 2 was the best 3D Sonic game.

Ugh... just by watching Boom's gameplay, Sonic 06 is already better. Let's compare:
Wave Ocean (best level in Sonic 06, in my opinion) > Sonic Boom
'Nuff said.
But I thought everybody on Miiverse is having fun with it and prasing the game to heaven... What's wrong with reviewers??

Despite the Plot Holes, terrible sound mixing (GC), Glitches (Although still very playable), and bad camera, it had the most important thing a Sonic game should have Speed/Fun.
SA3 bring back british shadow, touch up graphics to like 720 60 fps, stablize the camera like what the have on mario 3d games, improve the story a tad bit (doesn't need to be serious, this is Sonic after all) instant GOTY
