Aaaaaand why should that change the score? Should it affect the sales? Sure....by I don't see any reason why that would have any affect on the score.
I'd be surprised if most real reviews were THAT bad. I don't expect it to be great, but considering it has people working on it that previously made games like Jak & Daxter....that would be rather odd if it turned out horrible.

Price can affect scores, so why not this?

Because including price into a review is saying: "This game is/isn't worth the asking price".
What does including this say in a review? "We are mad that we didn't get this game before everyone else"? Why should the reader care about that? The only way this affects the reader is by not giving them the reviews alongside release, which is a problem for the people who already bought the game, but they aren't the ones who need the review anyways. The review is for the people who haven't bought the game and are curious how good the reviewer feels it is. Price makes sense to include because it is a factor of importance to the consumer who the review is aimed at...this isn't

It says: "The company has no confidence in this game, so neither should you"

That should be pretty darn apparent in the game itself and already factored into the score....theres no reason why extra points should be taken off just out of principle

Price shouldnt be a factor either. Some people enjoy shorter, more packed games.
I don't trust user reviews either, but this is really weird for the two to be so different. If the critic reviews are significantly higher than the user reviews for the Wii U version, I might have to conclude that metacritic users have some kind of personal issue with the Wii U.
