Sorry Marth.
Actually I guessed Smeags' answer before he even posted it. So yeah, take that VGC!
Also Smeags wanted me to update the thread title with the correct date depending on where people are from around the world, so that makes it #47 here.
#47 - Custom Robo: One of Nintendo's more niche series, though it's one I rather enjoy. The idea of the game is fighting with 1 foot tall robos that you can customize with different bodies, guns, bombs, pods, and leg parts that all change up how you play. Each part is quite different from one another and has a different effect on the way you play with that combination of parts. It really gets my inner child going, as it's all about putting parts together in different combinations in order to have entirely new ways to play the game. Sure, the story is kind of half-baked, but the core robot fighting is a lot of fun.
Hint for #46 - This song appeared in the game. Also, there is an anime series that only exists within the universe of this game, and its three main characters are Strawberry, Blueberry, and Cranberry.
NNID: TheCCluc
#47: South Park: The Stick of Truth: A great game based on a great TV show. The talking dog and the gay baby are always so funny!
Hint for #46: hatmoza hated this game, which makes me glad that he's probably dead.
48. Final Fantasy VI (SNES)
If you can't remember the SNES generation, you need to get and play this game. This truly is a showcase of the near perfection attained at the end of the 2D era. As far as JRPGs go, it's still one of the best around with a fantastic story and a diverse array of characters.
Hints:
47: A PC game where you hunt monsters and collect "cards".
46: First new entry and one that surprised me with its quality. With that said, the series has a rich history.

Good guess, but I think he hated this game even more than Flower. What a horrible person he was.
#46: The first entry in a critically acclaimed series, one of the 3 dominating platformer series on the PS2. The series it hails from is the first and, for a while, only one of three to appear on a 7th gen home console, and the only one currently confirmed to appear on an 8th gen platform; this series is thought by many to have lost its way in recent years...
