My hint for my number 47:
A gem from the start, but not originally the be all and end all they'll soon be.

48. Final Fantasy X

- Not my favorite Final Fantasy, and far from my favorite Square Enix JRPG, but this is one of the few JRPG's from this millenium which I really loved. Great gameplay (proper turn based), good story even though it was fairly predictable, and overall great. Would have ranked higher if it were less cheesy and with less Blitzball. This game feels like what a Final Fantasy game should be.

Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! (SNES, 1996)

guessed by mZuzek

Often dismissed as the black sheep of the original Donkey Kong Country trilogy, DKC3 is, in many ways, the best game of the series. While it might not have the masterful music or drum-tight level design of its immediate predecessor, DKC3 makes up for it more diverse levels, a more complex and open-ended overworld, and plenty of puzzles and side-quests. It's these adventure elements -- exploration, puzzle-solving, finding and using items -- that set DKC3 apart from the pack, and make it one of Rare's most challenging and rewarding platform games.

Before this character hit the weights while starring in a popular fighting game, he starred in this adventure.

Kirby's Adventure?

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

48. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Nintendo 64

The strangest, darkest and maskiest (I got nothing) Zelda game is indeed #48, and also my second favourite 3D Zelda title. Majora's Mask is definitely an odd game but in a good way. The world is rich with interesting characters and quests, which I think are by far the best in the series, especially the Anju & Kafei quest. The danger was more real then ever, you could see how the moon eeriely approachs Termina as time grows short and you always feel a sense of urgency to complete your quests before you need to warp back to the past to save yourself from the imminent destruction. The different areas you visit too are great, every area feels alive, unique and full of things to do and learn, finally the masks, they're fun to collect and use and never feel too gimmicky. The only major issue I have with this game, is it always feels too short. There are only 4 dungeons (not counting the final one), a sharp contrast from OOT.

Hint for #47

In this GBA spinoff of a popular Nintendo franchise, the in-game main character is based on the player's personality.

48 is Dangan Ronpa, one of the big surprises for this year. Look forward to playing the sequel.

Hint for 47 is...

Kirby's Adventure?

Nope.

Think of it more as a path than an adventure.

Sonic on the Megadrive? Your avatar could suggest a person who is more into Sonic than the average person.

48: XenoBlade Chronicles
Wii (2011)
Monolift Soft

Oddly enough, despite playing it (for over a 100 hours) in 2012 when it came stateside, this is the first time XenoBlade Chronicles has appeared on my list. There were a few reasons for the game barely missing my list, mostly for it's overwrought and contrived story. But looking back, I cannot deny that XenoBlade Chronicles still holds a place in my heart due to its wonderful sense of exploration, wonderous world, and an amazing soundtrack. I love games that reward you for going down the unbeaten path, to explore every nook and cranny of an intracate and diverse world. XenoBlade Chronicles does just that. Not only that, but the battle system is always engaging to play with, whether it's your first battle or your 500th one. XenoBlade Chronicles is a beautiful game, there is no denying it, and I'll always remember the grand adventure across two giants.

"I'm really feeling it!"

Your hint is Path of Radiance.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

#48: Bully: Scholarship Edition: Rockstar's big budget reimagining of the cult classic Chulip, Bully is a game about kissing boys. Are you a gay enough dude to kiss the school body president? Spoiler alert: Yes. You are.

Hint for #47: South Park: The Stick __ Truth.
