I think it's bad on all sides to be honest.

Especially when the term is so damn old. I remember the Yahtzee video it came from, vaguely. 2008 or 2009?

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Well, most PC gamers don't have expensive rigs. They have PCs... and apparently they spend a lot of time watching consoles game videos on YouTube.

Agreed.

Lol... PC master race isn't that bad. I think trolls are strong this generation and it comes from a lot of sides. Thicken your skin and don't take anything they say personal... I know what I'm talking about.

I find a lot of them are actually just fans of another console and are caliming pc materrace to insult the other person without going the whole distance of putting their real fandom out there to be insulted in return

I have a good gaming PC mostly because I need a good PC for my work but I don't play on it I play on consoles. I think people will always try to downplay the system you're gaming on no matter what it is. PC gamers are as guilty as console gamers. I also think that the effort put in PC games should be recognized by console gamers. Just because PCs can be more powerful it doesn't mean a lot of efforts weren't put in those games. Everytime we see people saying PC doesn't count for whatever reason, no wonder some of them are acting like that. You can't say consoles are such beasts that they produce the best graphics ever blablabla... and then say but PC doesn't count.

Your first mistake is reading YouTube comments.

This, right here.

Here, maybe this will solve your problem.

I found that the biggest problem with gaming on a work PC that is built with high specs is that it is counterproductive. Really counterproductive.

You're almost better off gaming on a console if you use a PC workstation for your job/livelihood unless you have really strict habits regarding play time when you're supposed to be on the clock, work-wise.

I had two PCs when I was doing a lot of gaming on PC (I prefer to play on consoles once again). One was for playing games and had nothing installed on it but Steam and a HDD full of game installs. The other was for work, which by the nature of the work (3D rendering/animation) had better specs than the gaming PC, but that didn't actually matter. It was just a gaming machine, hooked up to the HDTV in the living room.

If you knew how true gaming was you'd join the #PCMASTERRACE movement. Alas, you are just a simple minded peasant.

PS: I'm completely joking (don't ban me!), and I imagine most people in the YouTube comments are as well... that or trolling (or a combination of the two).

why is some of your post blacked out? how do i see it

I have an I7 4770K and a GTX 780 Ti. Games look better on PC. I can play games on Steam far cheaper than in PS. Also i can downloaded them for free if i want. I can play with mods. The PC is the ultimate game machine. I can play games like doom from 1993 to the last 2014 ones.
I still have a PS4 for when i want to be just lying on a bed and start gaming just with one button the games that are only for PS like The last of US or Uncharted.
I also have a PS3, Its good to be able to play with the move sometimes, makes me exercise.
And I play with my galaxy S4 or shield tablet on the bus or at work.

I have almost 180 games on Steam, a third to it finished and the best played several times.
So dont think that somebody that owns a great rig dont play games.
Its a great time to be a gamer. Console gaming is great now. Its the first time you can see good textures on consoles, and despite the PC looks better, quality is very close considering that you dont play with PS4 at 70 cm.
I would play a lot more with PS4 if i could get discounts like on Steam or Origin. It would be great to be able to buy games at 50% off that are only 6 months old. Or games that you dont care that much that you can get for 75% off. Almost all of the discounts I see on PSN are for PS3.
Graphics creates inmersivity and are great, but in the end what matters is how fun is the game. And you can have the same fun with this new gen consoles or with PC.

you see that's master race stuff right there and it's fine because i doubt you go talking out your ass on youtube about it. I highly doubt 90% of the master race comments are from gamers like you. because if they were they wouldn't be wasting their time watching vids for games on consoles or delayed PC games.

That's the main reason I'm not playing on PC. It's for work (mostly 3D modeling and animation). Also Consoles are ready to go, nothing else to setup, PCs are kind of different.

I actually have a really powerful Alienware I bought for work and now no longer use it for work. (Recently gave it to my Dad for his work). I've no interest in gaming on it as I'm into comments so I'm not offended by #PCMASTERRACE as I've likely got a more powerful rig then they do. But it's fucking annoying. Top Youtube comments used to be funny or smart but not anymore for the popular game videos at least.

And as someone pointed out on the Playstation vids it might be xbox fans pretending to be master race and visa versa on XB vids. They on vids like GTA 5 it could be happening both ways but you def have a lot of legit PC fanboys trying to brag about their dick size, sorry i mean rig size. Sometimes you'd wonder which they'd actually prefer to be big. SMH
