It's the "same" but they work their butts off for years and years making new games, implementing as many changes as they can with the gameplay, single player, new characters, etc.

This is easily the least recycled of the bunch. There has only been 4 in 15 years. Better yet, there has only been 2 in the last 13 years.

I'm not even complaining about the yearly batch of COD, Assassin's Creed, sports games, etc. If people are buying them then go for it. But I wouldn't compare a new Smash Bros every 6 years by saying it's all the same.

Feel confident? Its a 94 on meta now, its at a range of 91-95. Its the same with majority of games.  

I feel the same. Of course the Nintendo fan in me would love it to be as high as possible, but I think we're better off getting a more realistic perspective from people waiting to experience the online mode. That's half of what SSB is about these days, so its pretty disingenous to review a game where no one has any idea how well the online portion works yet. I can only hope Nintendo expects a big jump in activity on their servers and has tried to prepare before launch.

Fair, I haven't played this one yet, but I wasn't overly impressed with the jumps from 64 -> GC -> Wii versions of the game, they just weren't substantial enough. Plus I may have killed the game back in the 64 days. It's been recycled the least number of times, but honestly is the most similar to its original iteration which kind of makes it the most recycled.

To note, I think annual releases are a mistake and a ton of franchises have worn thin for similar reasons.  Likely why Wii Sports was so big (it was hugely different at the time), and why (imo) Splosion Man is one of the best games of last gen. I also never understood the re-purchasing of sport games every year, but then I'm not a big fan of em to begin with.

Man Im super worried about this game, I mean I fucking loved Brawl but I had friends back then. Now that school is over I dont talk to any of them anymore and so it will mostly be a SP or online MP game for me and Nintendo arent the best at online, not to mention my Aussie internet, it being a fighter and no ethernet port.
At least I get it for $58 =D
