If someone had handed me the controller and said, 'Hey, you take over', from what I saw I wouldn't have felt much motivation to have said yes.

I hope I'm wrong... At least it doesn't suffer from unrealistically high expectations.

Maybe this is why there aren't any reviews out yet; they're doing a Destiny and holding them back because they know they'll be less than glowing.

At this point in time a sonic game whether it be a spin off or a real one will lose 2 points for being a sonic game. So if this game is a 7 expect a lot of 5s.

The reviewers of sonic games are way too harsh. "Its not fast enough" etc. Yes sonic is about speed but can we get out of the early sonic glory days and take off the nostalgia glasses? Sonic boom on the 3ds is going to do well I hope but the Wii U version wont. It looks like a game I would play tbh. I like platformers, I especially miss 3d ones from the n64 era and these type of games are the closest we'll ever get. If I had a wii U I'd buy it... (If I had money)

Sonic Boom looks really bleh so I wouldn't surprised if it actually gets a Metascore below 60, let alone 70!

OT: This didn't have to be said; the moment we saw the "new and improved" Sonic is the moment we knew this game was going to be a mess.

For me, and my personal tastes, Sonic Unleashed > Gears of War and Uncharted combined. And that game got 60's on meta.

either those devs aren't really into developing sonic or they aren't as good as people thought they where I mean it was said that the team came from well known studios who worked on good games right?
