I haven't read a lot of comments about Smash 3DS, only thing i read was about gamers unhappy that Smash... smashed their joysticks!

Still, Mario Maker is a very simple game. Don't think there will be a big difference between a 3DS and Wii U, to be honest. Maybe more enemies or a visual style that can only be done on Wii U, but that might be it.
I think it can work well on 3DS compared to Wii U.

I don't think it'll work as good as the Wii U version due to the lack of a gamepad, but I'm still all for it!

Poor Wii-U even Nintendo doesn't want to aupport it with to many exclusives it seems. This is one game that could benefit alot from the tablet controller though.

That doesn't mean people are stupid, in fact they see other mobile devices with close or identical performance to a Wii-U and expect a dedicated gaming handheld to deliver that. Once people have seen certain capabilities they are unlikely to settle for less.
