I think both bundles are for Black Friday only. PS4 + TLOUR + GTAV $399 Far Cry 4 bundle didn't exists in US. |
Forget the console wars, I just want to pick up one of these PS4 bundles for my brother.

PS4 bundles are for when matters...
Black Friday is when the sales happens in November.

Well, right now, X1 took week 1 and looks like it will squeak out week 2. The bundle restocks should help them get another bump, but I would find it odd if they didn't play their hand already. From a psychological perspective, it seems unlikely that the 2nd/3rd/nth bundle restock will garner the same excitement/generate the same momentum as the 1st. BF is BF, and the X1 may have just moved a lot of sales forward. We would be foolhardy to dismiss the impact of the lower price, though.

X1 sales went up for a few reasons, but most were temporary bumps. Even the cut is labeled "temporary" by them to motivate sa;es right away not later. Its a few bumps waring of already, back to normal more or less.

It seems to have normalized to a marginal lead for X1; I think the X1 restocks (rumored for tomorrow) will tell us a lot about what to expect for BF and moving forward. I'm honestly still surprised that Sony didn't bite the bullet and match the "temporary" price cut, at least for new bundles.

They are not blind, they see why it sold and know its no reason to react.
They have BF bundles with two games at 399, thats more then they need.

Even for consoles BF is only about 50% of the whole month. (overall retail is 20% for that weekend)
So both matters (the same). And it is still weird Sony don't have the GTA V bundle tomorrow when the game release..
So in the end, maybe Amazon will see an upset? How could tell... NPD is getting more exciting by the minute, only to be dumped by no numbers... at least we will be able to acertain what they are about going by PR spin needed.

You need to check data...
Week 1: 170k
Week 2: 320k
Week 3: 300k
Week 4: 1060k
1060k / 1850k = 57%
That using the VGC data because if you use the real NPD data for this November 2011 you will be close to 60%.
What matters is the BF week... the diference in the prévios erros US do small to account for something like right now Xbone is 100k over PS4 in US? That is 10% of the sales in BF week.
