So, Nintendo is starting to get specific about what the ammibo's are going to do.

for smash bros, it will produce a bot  that you can play against and level up.

for hyrule warriors, it will give you random material or rupees, with link giving a weapon.

For mario kart, it will give your mii racer character costumes that it can wear.

So, are people excited about this?  I know I originally thought that there would be some potential here for nintendo... But none what they are doing sounds remotely interesting to me. So how many people out there are excited about amiibos?

Its interesting but idk, my interest isn't really that high in it but it is high enough for me to get one and not anymore than that

I like the smash functionality. As for the other games, meh. Hopefully games in the future were designed with a better idea of how to use Amiibo.

I like the idea behind it, but I doubt I'll ever buy one.

They need to create a game specifically for Amiibo, rather than tailor it around a game thus feeling a bit tacked on.

I'm sure they have something in the works tho.

I think they have potential. Kids will probably get them just for toys though and not use them at all. However, Nintendo should try and make a whole new game that utilizes all of the amiibo. I don't know what type of game would use them but yeah, it's a baby right now.

So many games are getting compatible, past and future. It's just awesome IMHO.

But I have a dilema, should I get my main in smash first? or no? They would probbaly be only used in Smash...and Hyrule Warriors to give some free rupees and stuff.

Or someone like Link, that works with MK8, Smash and Hyrule Warriors - where he gives a new moveset!
Or A mario rep that isn't my main Rosalina, since they have like zillion titles compatible.

Thats kind of the entire problem with amiibos from what I can see.  They are designed to be general.  They arent designed for any specific functions and the end result is superfluous functions.  

If nintendo had been smart, they would have released the amiibos alongside a game that was designed from the ground up to incorporate amiibos.  Give people a reason to actually buy them and all this tiny perks in other games would be added bonuses.  I just think Nintendo screwed this idea up.  It had potential to be a great feature for them, but Im thinking it is going to fall flat...
