I was looking back at some of the weeks in the US and noticed not only a Sony win but a lot of weeks by a wide margain. The game selection on either console hasn't been the best. Sony's big hitters haven't even started, yet.

What is driving sales on the PS4? Is it a combination? My cousin said he bought his PS4 because of RROD. He also said he had 7 360's. I don't know if that's true or not but I know I had 2. The games and pre-launch decisions are what made me go PS4 this gen after owning a 360.

How much did RROD play into your next gen console purchase?

No role, because we all know rrod was all a hoax just like the holocaust. Nah seriously though. I could understand if people do it, but I never had a rrod and even if I did, I would probably still have gone with Xbox One.

I waited a couple of years until they got some of the better models. For next gen it didn't matter, things change.

Never had RROD on either of my 360's, so it wasn't even a factor. I just didn't buy an X1 because there's no games I want for it.

One day i will buy a PS4 over XBONE and RROD influenced that about 75%, the remaining 25% was because i prefer Infamous and Uncharted over HALO, Gears of War and Forza

It had no bearing on my decision to buy a PS4. People seemed to forget how faulty the PS2 was. Before there was RROD, there was DRE.

My first console RROD'd, but my subsequent (Elite, 4GB Slim and Halo 4 Ltd didn't have a flaw).

I really dont think RROD was an issue for anyone. MS had a great cover plan for these.

As far as to why the PS4 is doing so well? 2014 = Destiny and Watchdogs. 2013 = Anti consumer MS policies.

It's like waiting for sex. I want it now. I would rather take the risk than wait to see if it's safe.
