Forums - Microsoft - Xbox One will ship 12 Million by Years End

I am sticking with my prediction home skillets. I have predicted 12 million by years end for a while now. Now that we are close, here's what I think each sales week will look like. We know Xbox One is undertracked about 500k based on shipment data. We can safely assume Xbox One sales are around 6.8 million by the end of October.

Sales should look like this:

Nov 8 300k (price cut and Call of Duty)

Nov 15 300k (bundles and Halo: TMCC)

Nov 22 300k (bundles and GTA5)

Nov 29 900k (Black Friday)

Dec 6 450k (holidays)

Dec 13 600k (holidays)

Dec 20 650k (holidays)

Dec 27 300k (holidays)

Jan 3 250k

6.8million + 4.05 million = 10.85 million sold to consumers

Microsoft usually ships about a million extra units.

12 million by years end!

Yeah...good luck with that...

I guess you way way wrong in that prediction

It won't pass 11 million... 10.x... my prediction was 9.8m a year ago but I guess today it will do ~500k better... it is on track.

PS. No way it will sell 900k at BlackFriday lol... neither PS4 will.

I'm thinking it'll ship around 11m, more likely just less. 12m therefore seems unlikely but not impossible.

How is Xbox One going to get to 6.8 million from 6.1 million in 2 weeks?

This is shipped. XB1 is at about 7.5m now. It'd still need 4.5m shipped in the last Q though, still extremely unlikely

Okay thanks.  He sales Xbox One sales not shipments...  He also says its undertracked by 500k based on shipments.  No, I think he believes that those are sales.

Yeah the OP isn't very clear, he uses sales to make an estimate for shipments.

Its futther compounded by the fact that he is claiming its undertracked by 500k... because of shipments... so yeah.

"6.8million + 4.05 million = 10.85 million sold to consumers"  no... he is saying 6.8 is sold to customers.

I can't see it hitting 12M that quickly. I'd say it'll hit about 10M by years' end.
