The 2k contract only covers third party exclusivity rights. Since The Show is a first party game, it isn't covered in the contract and Sony can still release it to its consoles.


o thats wierd but ok cause i get to chose a baseball game instead of my Football games....


 That is because there are no 1st party devs that make a football game or did.  The only 2 football games before Madden went exclusive were 2k and EA, both 3rd party.

 

If Sony, Nintendo, or MS wanted to, they could make their own football game, its just not worth it, cause everybody gets Madden.

Looks like 2k won't be making college hoops 09 cause of contract negotiations breaking down but who knows,they might try to work something out later b 4 release.

i absoloutly hate baseball ( im a cricket fan) but the show rapes 2k in all ways.

I loved 2k7 last year and thought 07 was something of a joke. However... 2K Sports has seriously dropped the ball this year. All kinds of performance issues on both platforms as well as some bugs that detract from the game (unlike the animation glitches that both games have).

For the first time ever, I've broken ranks here. Just picked up The Show.

anyways i own the show, its awesome. greeat graphics, gameplay, and everything. 

one thing it has that 2k does not is a career mode, and that  mode i play all the time in 08.

Well, there's a difference between a sim game and a arcadey game. It's like comparing Fifa/Winning Eleven to Mario Striker.
