I like it, it reminds me of a chimera.

They are completely different.

At first I thought you meant how the materials shattered or reacted to contact/hits.

It is true that both Killzone and Infamous are Western games, while FFXV is a Japanese game. I have found personally that Japanese games have less focus on the advanced physics and more focus on the creative side and art. For that reason though  a game like Killzone may have better materials engineering, a game like FFXV I'm certain will not dissappoint me in the graphics department because the artistic side will be there. It's a Final Fantasy game after all.

So I'm not sure your point matters depending on your value system. I understand what you mean (though a screenshot of what you're saying would be nice), but in the end I think the game overall will deliver great graphics and in  some ways better than the games you mentioned by virtue of being a Final Fantasy game.

By the way, your ellipses are impolite.

Kinda hard to do that when one game isn't out yet ...

If you take a look at the metalic objects in killzone and compare it to the vehicle or sword in FFXV you'll notice that there is a subtle lustre in killzone which gives the isoptropic materials more definition to them. The shading model in killzone works great for wetness too on the objects ...

I am not going to comment anymore because these are opinions. But since this is mainly a sales tracking site I am going to lit light on that perspective. I am glad FF series has become a minor series sales wise. Sales number difference between WRPG and JRPG proves what people think of the genre.

@A- Well that's kind of dishonest given that you're making an opinion on the game's graphics already.

@B- Yeah I kind of see it.

Sure the game isn't out yet but once a developer settles on a shading model, they'll most likely end up keeping it since developing a game's graphics revolves around that aspect and Square is making little to no attempt to change it despite the amount of years in development along with the arrival of the new consoles ...

Besides Pokemon and Final Fantasy(and maybe Dragon Quest)y, JRPG's sales weren't high enough to begin with.

I don't know why but I really find your ellipses obnoxious. Do you always write that way?

Let alone the fact that it has nothing to do with point A anyways.

I post like that ...

Wii Sports considered greatest game of all time confirmed!

Lube Me Up

This is truly a real world map that should had been in FF13, a truly world map with real human scale, the real next gen JRPG we have been waiting for. This what many JRPG veteran like me or FF veteran hoping for. So they took almost 1 generation to truly bring the real successor of Final Fantasy.

If I remember correctly, Grand Pulse had 50 quests there to be done and that plain had the most of them. FAR from "NOTHING".

But I'm sure you did them all...

I did, and the actual number of quests you can do in any set interval was pretty low since you end up getting level gated. And, also, a bunch of the quests are technically just the gauntlet for the giant dude...

Would have been nice if some of the quests were more about exploration and lore, but they were almost all just find X or kill Y.

Well, now I know I'll be using the car 90% of the game, lol. On a side note, I wonder how the hell Squeenix is pulling off such a big world on the PS4 and XOne, other next-gen games haven't been able to pull off such big draw distance and still have a massive, beautiful looking world to explore.

As long as the combat is fun and fast paced, and the game has a good sense of escalation through out its story, this a day 1 buy from me, having such a big world would just be the icing on the cake.

I'm now filled with determination.
