Peace, healthy and positive discussion and happy holiday sales numbers. Such a nice dream.

How about; An end to double mapping of face buttons thanks to the miracle of voice and gesture recognition, a personalized interface like Cortana with a choice of tone, accent and gender and a perfected universal translator for seamless worldwide intercommunication. That could happen.

Around the Network

1.More Metroid (and Metroidvania in general)

2.A mainstream return of the polished, quality games (like Nintendo's).

3.No more of those terrible-ass "indie" games (they don't even deserve to be grouped in with the likes of Steamworld Dig and things like that).

1) shenmue 3
2) rare returning back to nintendo and making good games again
3)An actual open world rpg realistic graphics legend of zelda

1. Crash Bandicoot makes a comeback and is as once again better than Mario.

2. People stop supporting Nintendo, demand new IPs, Nintendo listens, makes new IPs...along with still putting out great Mario and Zelda games.

3. Companies stop making yearly games of the same series. Like really do we need a sports game every year? I'd rather just a $10 or even $20 DLC with a big roster update, and a few added modes/features. Then come out with the next actual full game when there's a new engine or big style change. This also goes for games like Call of Duty and Assassin's Creed. And the series that ignore what I just said shall suffer massively declining sales.

1. That hardcore gamers and developers actually open their minds up to some fucking change rather than shunning ANYTHING that deviates from the norm (Wii/PS Move/Kinect, asymetric gameplay, the cloud, touch screens, etc.)

2. That people stop praising better graphics, more things on screen, and stuff like that as "innovation"

3. That developers and publishers get better with development, PR, and marketing; this is a long one.

  • No more announcing announcements (The Sony Dec. event comes to mind)
  • Quit preempively leaking games (looking at you EA) and then getting upset when people aren't as excited as they should be
  • Stop nickling and diming consumers (plenty of offenders last gen)
  • Stop wasting money in the development process (Crytek, Team Ico, among many others)
  • Quit acting like you know the market when you clearly don't (Satoru Iwata)
  • I like that M$ buys exclusive content, but the parity clause has to go.
  • Stop releasing broken games (BF3, 4, several CoDs, the 360, and MANY others)
