Competition between companies is needed, look at the WWE after they bought WCW. So Microsoft going away is silly.

Pre-ordering goes away
No overpriced DLC or Microtransaction
Nintendo gets third party support so all consoles are equal and the choice between consoles is determined by their exclusive content.

Sony kept coming out with exclusive amazing games like Persona 3 and 4 and God of War 1 and 2 long after they were in the lead with the PS2.
Nintendo I suppose lost a bit of their game drive past 2008 of the Wii's life cycle once it was obvious that they were so far ahead of the competition. However, Nintendo did still come out with SMG2 in 2010 so there's that. Plus Nintendo is focusing almost entirely on core gamers from what they've said recently in an interview I read.
Lube Me Up
You all don't dream big enough.
1. A truly fully immersive virtual reality game. Something like Sword Art Online, but without the dying in real life. As real as the Matrix, but as easy to get out of as pulling off a helmet, and in a world nothing like our own.
2. A game with AI intelligent enough to be a dungeon master, like one of those RPG Maker programs, except the computer does it all for you and is smart enough to write compelling RPG stories. On top of this, the game would be online, and you would play different roles depending on what part of the story you wanted to play, and different parts of the story could be playing out at the same time. So while you're the hero setting out from his hometown, in that same instance of the game, different people are playing the party members you'll eventually meet, or someone might be the villain taking over the kingdom, or a princess waiting to be saved. Players would take a personality test before hand and the computer would write their characters and the overall story around their personalities. Meanwhile countless other instances of the game have other players playing other characters in other stories.
3. For video games to be accepted as an art form, respected worldwide by everyone, seen by most people as having the most potential of any art form.
A bit off topic..or maybe not considering one of my wishes, but I'm about to watch a new english voice acted trailer for Type 0.
I'm going to cross my fingers and hope to somebody's god that it has good voice acting and presents a good tone. This is going to be very indicative of how FFXV's story may play out.

To quote Crisis Core "Unatainable dreams are the best kind."
And that bodes true, although I'm definitely not saying none of those wishes can't come true. But we don't stop living until we think all our dreams are finished.
