I don´t understand, why are we able to update the numbers once they´re out?

All I hope is Smash finally gets Wii U moving and this 1 million gap between XB1 and Wii U stays for the next 4-5 weeks, and then I think if Wii U stays ahead this year next year will be no struggle, thus letting it lead into 2nd place this gen

I tried to use sales history to figure this out but there are so many different factors giving those other years an upper hand it's crazy. At least I can for sure say PS4 >> 3DS > XBO > Wii U >> PSV with certainty.

It's just that this first week is a bit abnormal and we're likely to see adjustments as well. It wouldn't really be fun if we base all our weeks on data that might be incorrect.
