That just might be due to the lighting

They actually changed her a bit. Mainly for this reason I think:

Honestly, I think lighting and angles aren't making these accurate. The E3 pics were obviously made to be photo opped. The Joystiq pics look like they were taken by a regular camera and leaned in on.

The new pictures are cell phone cameras or some really cheap portable camera. You can tell by the depth blur as they don't have extended lenses for corrections and light apperture is obviously tiny given the fidelity of the images.

Peach still looks bad though.

dammit Nintendo wtf?

Why is Link peeing?'

TBH Amiibo was overpriced for 15 bucks  and now even more than ever.

To be honest, these are pretty cheap compare to your average fifty dollars or more figurines, which is another reason why I'm not bother by it at all. Thought the Peach and Link's off putting yellow bar is a bit off putting.

I think 13 dollars is the right price for a product that is plan to be use in a number of games, like for example, Hyrule Warrior was reccently announce to add amiibo support including Toad Treasure Tracker.

I plan to pick up a Bowser and Lucario one when they get release.

Don’t follow the hype, follow the games

Here a little quote I want for those to keep memorize in your head for this coming next gen.

These pictures are pretty terrible...bad lighting, bad focus, bad angles. Still, they look fine to me. Obviously they don't look like the quality you would get with a real expensive figurine, but these are mostly just physical DLC. The physical form is a bonus.

They look terrible compared to what we were shown. I don't think I'll be getting any anymore.

I'll have to see if Pikachu was spared from the cheapness.

Pikachu, DK, Mario, Yoshi, and Kirby all look fine. The weird ones are Peach (face, dress), Marth (sword, details, face), and Link (piss stand, sword).

Real collectors wouldn't go apeshit over amiibos, anyways. They're toys and high quality Nintendo themed figurines are still available.

Price of an Amiibo: 12$

Price of that statue: 399$

Give me the prototypes back, would pay $30-35 a peice for them.
