Forums - Gaming - Why is PS4 still outselling the X1 in America?

I can't seem to understand this. America has always been an FPS land and Xbox One is the place for it they are releasing a Halo Remaster collection in a few weeks, a COD bundle with exclusive content. And no offense to the PS4 but what good AAA games is releasing for it?  Xbox got Sunset Overdrive, Forza Horizon 2, Halo Remaster for this fall, and they got Quantum Break in the spring. The ps4 has Driveclub in the fall, and The Order in the spring. So, as for as exclusive games go the Xbox One is the king. Also the X1 is 400$ now in America same as PS4 so I would expect better sales for X1.

Why do you think the PS4 is still outselling the X1?   Do you think that exclusive games are no longer the deciding factor and perhaps media bias may have a big role in all of this.

I trust no one, not even myself.

Because PS4 is better. Why would you buy an Xbox One having nearly all it's exclusives on PC?

Microsoft has done a lot to turn things around for the One in the past six months. And there are two conclusions I've come to:

1. They are still battling the goof-up that was the Xbox One reveal nearly 18 months ago. That hurt the brand image a lot and they're still recovering.

2. The PS4 is more powerful, has benefited from point 1, and as a result has taken over the mindshare thinking of the masses.

But the One is still doing good. It's just not as good as the PS4. There's room for multiple consoles just as there is for multiple cell phones, phone carriers, car maker, etc. So just play the games you like, have fun, and quit worrying about who is selling more consoles. You'll find the freedom it brings refreshing.

Basically this

multiplats

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

This.

Its about looking towards the future, I think last gen 360 owners were very envous of all the exclusives that the PS3 got and the 360 support in its last years was lackluster.  Its pretty much guaranteed that the PS4 will get enough exclusive support to justify the purchase, as for the X1 that remains to be seen.

Yes when you look at it there really is no reason good for the US to go PS4>XBO
MS fucked up early though with pricing and all their BS restrictions and Sony used that to gain momentum. This is now MS biggest hurdle, how can they sell consoles to those whose friends own a PS4 already?? The best marketing is word of mouth and PS4 even without the games (really where are they Sony??) has much better word of mouth than MS.

Playstation's brand name is pretty huge. Playstation can get away with psn hacks, psn constantly being down, little to no games, ect...

More exclusives
Better multiplats
More Indies
More FTP
Better design
More powerful

This will help future 'I don't understand' threads.

The PS5 Exists.
