Well, I thought it was funny.

Seriously, though, I hope they aren't going to focus on low power consumption and a small form factor again.  I don't know about Japan but no one in the west cares about those things.

Well it looks like it might be a powerfull-ish console if we go by what Vena said: "N64, NGC (2nd/most powerfull consoles of their gen) are built in the states. The Wii is technically just two NGCs glued together." idk about the Wii U

Iwata has said more than once that making the Wii U smaller and lowering its power consumption were points of emphasis.  Now, you obviously don't want it drinking energy like water or coming in at the same size as the original Xbox, but I doubt either of those things were going to happen, anyway.  It's not like people buying game consoles are making their decisions based off how much juice they require.

They just might want to emphasize OTHER console elements this time around.

  • Much be OK with the fact that we'll probably just ignore them and go with something cheaper.

Much be OK? Hmm...

OT: I'm thinking home console. I would hope, for Nintendo's sake and our's, that they have started on a HH replacement earlier than this.

I'm assuming this is for the true Wii U successor just in case QOL fails

I was thinking with the brain of Iwata.  Because the Japanese, they speak funny.

Also, it takes about two hours for me to wake up completely.  My morning groggy is long and deep.

Welp, they certainly need it after the wiiu

Isn't it normal for companies to start planning their next console right after they release one?

Yeah, its bad business to not start designing right away because of how long it takes to actually develop a home console

Current Game Machines: 3DS, Wii U, PC.

Currently Playing: X-Com(PC), Smash Bros(WiiU), Banner Saga(PC), Guild Wars 2(PC), Project X Zone(3DS), Luigis Mansion 2(3DS), DayZ(PC)

It's weird that this job position is for Nintendo America when all the decisions will be made in Japan, but given that there are some tech companies in the US that could provide them with this kind of tech (*cough*Intel?*cough*) I guess they need someone to make contacts with these companies and that understands what Nintendo is looking for.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

Well, they have to start working on something new, right?
