Forums - Gaming - What's the worst game you've ever bought?

Yoshi's Story was awesome.

Anyway, worst game I ever had was Rocketeer for the SNES. It got returned within 3 days (back then you could return opened games).  Picked up Gradius III in its place - awesome game.

Sin and Punishment for the Wii's VC. After all the hype that game got I was expecting it to at least be good, if not great. But it's awful. :p

Haha yeah same here... that was the first VC game i purchased after i finally got a Wii, I'd heard about it awhile back when IGN reviewed the original import version and raved about it.  Not a terrible game per say, but HIGHLY overrated in my book.  I want my 1200 Wii points back!!!!

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg. (Shudder)

That would be a close second for me.  The thing about Billy Hatcher and the Gian Egg for me was that I actually "enjoyed" playing the game for about a week, and then I had this revelation, "Why am I playing this crappy game!!!!!!!!!!"  I traded it in at gamestop and bought something else.

I have not bought many bad games, but my number one would have to be:

Braham Strokers Dracula for the SNES; (mom bought for me actually);

Someone should start a thread, "What is the worst games that your parents/someone bought for you"

Prince of Persia: Sands of Time (PC)

Someone says that on consoles it's good, perhaps with a gamepad it's playable, but on PC it's awful, the camera view changes happen always at the wrong time, it's not possible to choose a fixed over-the-shoulder view that would be the best together with first person for lots of combats and the frequent places where precision is of the essence.
I think that they could learn a lot from Heretic II programmers, that IMVHO had a 3rd person better than Tomb Raider (except for the protagonist ).

Myth III (PC)

Unworthy successor of the first two: the scale is far too close, even choosing the most wideangle setting, and this is bad for a RTS.
And if I remember correctly, it's not possible, differently from the first two, to command the units while pausing, which is also bad, as the enemies in the Myth series are always small to medium units moving quite fast and in single player they always overnumber the human player.

Silver (PC)

Too buggy with some graphics cards (including mine)

I had to stop playing all of them.

I know what you mean . If you dont use a gamepad for POPgames , than the controls can kill you .
