Lets not blame anyone, just let us rethink again that console industry is lack some innovation at the moment, and that's why most people (not just in Japan) choosing an alternate gadget like Tablet and smart phones to entertain their hunger on entertainment. Also how world economy crisis's help the inflation is several country and make some people unable to afford consoles (even japan is influenced by this economy crisis ). I am not saying Tablet or smartphone is affordable but they are more useful and dependable more then a dedicated gaming device. Maybe some area like US or some area in Europe is not directly affected (even China is more prosperous now), so we can say The market will not dead but the way console marketed and their shape is gonna be different in the future.

What are you smoking? Wii U sells pretty much on par with PS4 in Japan. Japanese gamers are actually treating the Wii U better than it deserve IMO. Don't mistake the 'low' numbers for dislike of the Wii U rather than the dismal market itself. The Japanese have rejected the console market as a whole, it has nothing to do with the Wii U itself.

Um no. Nothing deserves nothing. N64 deserved it? Where were you. THe system that virtually lost all of the games that Japanese gamers would have been into (fighters, JRPGs, 2d scrollers) some how deserved to have sales FOR them? Come on. Wii same thing the games they wanted to play were on another system.
