Easily symmetrical. Greatly improves my co-ordination when using both sticks.

I'm fine with either, so I don't really have a preference as long as the controller itself is well enough designed

Symmetrical. I honestly have no idea why people praise asymmetrical so much. If the stick is good where it is on one side, why must it be in a different place on the other side? FFS, my hands are practically symmetrical.

Symmetrical. My PC controller is one of those where you can use either configuration and I've found that my brain just likes symmetrical more. I tried to get used to asymmetrical, since many people said it was superior, but I found no way in which it was inherently better, so I went back to what I found more comfortable. I don't see any way in which this is not simply a personal preference.

I'm cool with both. There's really no adjustment period when I switch, either.

Never had a problem with symmetrical so I don't know what the fuzz is all about.

I don't think symmetrical vs. asymmetrical fully captures the situation. The placement and proximity of the sticks, within each layout, is also important. For example, I like the symmetrical design of the DualShock 4 but I strongly dislike the sticks bunched up at the center of the controller. It makes the controller less comfortable than the Pro Controller and Xbox One controller, which feature symmetrical and asymmetrical layouts, respectively.

So I think symmetry is less important than spacing and height, when it comes to analog sticks.

Asymmetrical. Its not a big deal for me, but I now prefer asymmetrical after using the 360 controller for so long.

The only stick configuration I don't like is the dual shock one. Too close together. I like symmetrical better, but only when they're up top. As it is, Pro Controller > XBO > DS4.
