The last 'console' LBP, sold .71 million (Karting was on PS3, hey, you set the goalposts).  The last console Gears sold 1.45m.

haha i laugh at the people who downplay LBP3, its a big game, and is highly family oriented. If kids are trying to get their parental units to get them a next gen console, a game with colorful characters that encourages creativity could really go a long way. especially if they market it well. LBP did really well, despite the ps3 being second fiddle to the 360. Now its top dog, I am really excited to see what it can do. lots of potential.

back on topic.. Europe doesnt need anymore big hitters lol its already on lock.. its hard to imagine a margin bigger then now.. but ya never know. bring on 10to 1 in europe!

I'm not downplaying it, if you're talking to me.  I simply was correcting a previous user who was downplaying how much Gears games have moved.  That's all.  I don't own any gears, nor will I, I do own LBP 1 and 2 though.  So I'm a really big fan of the franchise.  Just...can't argue the numbers.

Nah im reffering to someone who has niche on his mind ;)

I have 1, 2 and karting lol and prolly 100+ bucks on DLC..  my son asks for psn cards as gifts so he can buy stuff lol    I love the series, and really hope it catches on even bigger.  I really think the PS4 hype can really rub off onto it and help really spread it to kids lol get sackboy and the gang out there!

although it could have been a better system seller if they didnt make a simple mistake..  as my son puts it "LBP3 shouldnt be on the ps3, thats stupid.  if it was ps4 only then it would force all my friends to upgrade"  .. lol even an 8yo gets it :P

If PS4 sold more than 200k with TLOU R bundle( the original sold 7M on PS3), imagine what it will be with GTA V bundle( 18M sold on PS3 and 14M  on 360)...In November !...Also with a Far Cry 4 bundle the same week !

It goes without saying that keeping their dibs on the GTA franchise is a big move and every company would want to be in their place. Sony has to have something that will compensate for the sales that MCC generates in NA. I hope they have a strong bundle policy in NA.

Also - what is the price of this bundle gonna be? Is it going to be 399?

They know how to make the right moves at the righ time, when you see september NPD only with Destiny, you cant imagine what will be november NPD !

I agree that it is awesome that Sony includes physical copies rather than digital codes, but not because of the HDD space.  When you get a digital code, you dont actually own the game.  You only own the rights to download a copy of the game, which means that you cant sell or trade in that copy of the game.

 

This is why I hope physical games and gaming consoles remain a thing for years to come.

Well, if the game is bundled there will be fewer people willing to buy the game used. Anyways I never understood why people sell there games even if they need to buy new ones, there is always a day when you like to play the game again, and if you sell it you have to buy it again or not have access to it.

So if I want to lend my digital copy to my friend I can doooooo...ummm what again?  
Do you now see how you missed my point in terms of thanking sony for including a physical copy versus a digtital one?
