In the case of a title ACU, that has a strong reliance on the CPU (the weakest part of both the PS4 and X1), it's a matter of taking advantage of the PS4's GPGPU capabilities.

Reading this thread is somewhat entertaining after having just finished reading through Ubisoft's GDC presentation on the PS4 and X1's capabilities. They were even kind enough to provide graphs.

Or would you rather believe this "Anonymous Assassin's Creed Unity Dev", rather than an actual Ubisoft presentation :p

exactly.  Heck I'm not demanding 1080p.  900p to 1080p could be a hard jump (could I emphasize).  If they would just say more foilage, shadows, draw distance, and/or other effects on PS4 then I would be satisfied.  The fact that they have NOTHING shows that they are little parity supporters and/or lazy.

Yep. CPU doesn't limit resolution in any way. You can actually run an engine/AI simulation with no graphical output whatsoever, and get the framerate report on how you're doing with the SDK. And it would run the same at 320x200 as 3840x2160 so long as your GPU had the guts for it.

See : every PC game ever.

See : every major multiplat with resolution differences between X1 and PS4.

Regardless, that is the most logical question to ask.  If the PS4 is more powerful than the Xbox One, and the PS4 is maxed out, how is parity even mathematically  possible?  It isn't.  You completely dismantled this anonymous claim.
