Next week, PSNow is launching on PSVita and PlayStation TV.    While we all still wait for the inevitable subscription, it is definitely a great addition to the already vast library of titles launching with the PSTV.    If you don't own a PS3 this will give you the option to play an ever expanding library of PS3 games.

This is in addition to a library of hundreds of Vita and PSP and PSOne games.

At $99, This micro console has a bigger library than all current gen consoles combined and will play mp3 (come on PS4 what gives), stream media via Hulu, Youtube and Netflix, and is compatible with Killzone Mercenary, the upcoming Tales:R, MineCraft Vita, Rayman Origins and Persona 4 Golden.  Oh yes, it also Streams PS4 over Remote Play.  Its also probably the most portable console ever as well.    If that wasn't enough, the new TV streaming service coming this year will also be compatible with the PlayStation TV.

Are the prices still as off-putting as before? Otherwise my Vita might actually come into use again :).

No they aren't as bad as before, but the people want a subscription.  Sony needs to give the people what they want.  How much are you willing to pay for a 7 day game rental?

I might pay 2$ for seven days but if it was a subscription service I would easily pay 20-30$/month. I hate renting games, I prefer owning games but a subscription could do.

When you put it like that it actually sounds pretty good.

Taking a vacation but don't want to haul around your PS4? Just take the Vita TV, and you can remote play! That's pretty cool.

Although, I'm still not very impressed by the Vita's catalog, as my Vita sits on my desk crying and collecting dust.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

I still find it hard how a subcription plan can work, this ain't like netflix you know, You can pretty much play all the game you want for a month for just $20-$30 and then just get out, I don't how it could benefit Sony and the publishers.

Now I could see them raising the price for PS+, lowering the free monthly games and then giving subscribers of Plus unlimited access to all PS3 games.

Suppose they built a system where your subscription would allow you to play 10 game a month unlimited at $20-$30  or if your subscription allowed you 100 hours a month.

I will be picking up one in the morning :)

Ehh and we have to wait a month...I think I'll be picking this up over Xmas, wish it would be compatible with all Vita games, so I wouldn't have to buy the handheld but ohh well.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

If Sony wants to move some units they really should add support for noteworthy Vita games like Uncharted and Gravity Rush.

I'm not getting one until it gets support for more games I'm interested in.
