of course they are going to be happy. 3.2 million players daily and the biggest new ip launch in history.

was that because the game was actually any good, or was it because they put more resources into that game than any developer has put into a game this year? this is what im talking about. how are we really going to measure success, here. yes, 3.2m players is successful, but the reception was terrible and it just goes to show that you really dont have to make that great of a game to get droves of people on the servers. its scary to me.

youre talking about COD.

Nothing to scare here.

Gamers will play the games they like... and they like Destiny because it is a great game... there is no mistake here.

People that don't like it is due the taste and genre... it is not about the game itself... for example I prefer to have Destny games every year than Assassins Creed for example... the taste of the gamer are divided and it is good.

They created for me the next big thing in games... others companies will try the same after it success.

yeah, i read what you wrote about community feedback, and i do hope thats important to them because to me it doesnt seem like it is. also, the poll here on vgc (biggest disappointment of the year thread), the overwhelming majority said destiny. so yeah, im just saying that i hope this 3.2m doesnt get to their head and they think that they can skimp out on quality games just by having a big name and advertising under their belt. i hope you guys can see what im saying here. i mean, a lot of games were disappointing this year and destiny was voted the most disappointing (by us on vgc) and at the same time is getting rewarded the most.

Oh noes people enjoy playing it! The honest trailer for this is so accurate lol

well, i hope thats true.. most people i have talked to were into it week 1 and by this point have told me that they see it for waht it is. lackluster and repetitive. i only have one friend (out of a ton who have it) who is still on it and loves every second of it. so i dont know. i just hope bungie values how people view their games more than it seems like they do.

That is a mistake from the Bungie if they do that in my opinion.

Bungie needs to value what is doing right and the community that is playing Destiny... make the things better for the people that are enjoying it and that will make the community grow more and more.

It is fine to not like Destiny but there is million of gamers that want it like it is.

I'd say no since they're planning to make 2 or 3 more Destiny games and consumer trust has completely died for this franchise.

Sales wise they should be happy, just hope next time they put more effort in their product.

take ocarina of time for example.. or final fantasy 7 or something like that. those games were the talks of the fucking town because of how incredible they are. they stood out far beyond the rest because they were amazing, not because of advertising and hype. im sure nintendo was proud of the countless perfect scores ocarina of time received and perfect scores drove sales. its a more healthy view of how to drive sales for your games in my opinion.

I think we will have two or three big expansions like Diablo 2.0 or Diablo 2.1.

And the consumer trust is weird way to says it died because there are a group which the trust increased after Destiny and other group that the trust decreased.

So there is room for both.

Destiny is a success for the gamers that are loving it and that won't change if the other group didn't like it.

thats another problem i have with developer's mentality these days. they plan for a trilogy and not for the single game they are making at the moment. there are so many things wrong with it. focus on the game youre making now, and make it the best it can possibly be. worry about part 2 later. leave a cliffhanger at the end, thats fine, but put all your resources and thoughts and effort behind this single title youre making it now.

I think they are satisfied but they must have been expecting much better reviews than that. I also feel like Bungie and Activision were expecting it to sell even more based on its on budget.
