I guess Oz is PlayStation land so you'll find a lot more people online on the PS4.  What do your friends have?  If you switch and they're all on the other network then that won't be good either.

During the 360 from launch until 2008 he worked with Lionhead and rare.  The first made increasingly worse Fable games until the studio founder left and rare utterly collapased in quality.  Viva, Banjo Nut and Bolts and Kinect Sports - all utter shit.

After which he became head of Microsoft Studios whos original content decinded and dwinded to the point that they only had about 1 game in 2012.

I have no idea what good will Phil has built up with you to put such a huge amount of faith in him, but I think It's mis-placed.

Depends if you want to play the Xbox exclusives or not. I personally wouldn't sell any console as you get ripped off and i might want to play it later. PS4 is a good buy though

I think Phil Spancer is more like a good PR guy , but as a Business decision maker he's carier is just started. So we will have to wait is Phils  good or bad for Xbox Division.

He wasn't behind Microsoft studios dwindling. That was a direction don matrick took the Xbox division as a whole.

Since he's been head of Xbox, he's done nothing but good things. Listening to gamers and giving us what we want. As head of Xbox I have no reason he won't continue in the same fashion. He's even listened to the gamers about parity clause. So all those Indies will likely head to Xbox. He's done a tremendous job.

In terms of the OP, I would actually recommend at least waiting til the CoD:AW release, see how the sales pan out on both sides, and be prepared to make the switch quickly within the first week. I would ask that the OP not consider the above points, though, because the above points are actually really, really poorly constructed. o.o

1. I have no particular opinion either way about this. xP Pre-order numbers could result in a higher player base on Xbox One, but then, there's the higher PS4 install base to consider; which way the penduluum swings, we shall see. Which is why I recommended you, Mister OP, wait til release, see where the initial sales fall, etc, etc, if CoD is your driving motivation.

2. Given the gentleman above was listing games that haven't been released yet, (basically the second half of his list,) and games that haven't been revealed beyond a meaningless CGI-trailer, with little concrete info, (Scalebound, Gears, Crackdown, Left 4 Dead 3, etc, assuming it stays exclusive this time,) when listing Xbox One titles, I am shocked that he couldn't even be bothered to list all the games that are currently released on the PS4, let alone the ones coming.

Since he so meticulously covered the Xbox One's side, allow me to flesh out the Sony side, using his own parameters, with Infamous, DriveClub, Killzone, (also Bloodborne and Uncharted, though to be fair, he did list them in point 3,) God of War, Ratchet and Clank, Infamous, The Order, The Tomorrow Children, Until Dawn, quirkier or smaller Sony titles like Tearaway Unfolded, Little Big Planet, Rime, Resogun, Alienation... I'm not even bringing in the non-Sony-partnered Indie exclusives (i.e. the ones that might not come to Xbox One because of the parity clause,) or the more Japanese-centric titles and RPGs that will never see an Xbox platform release, (because it's always tricky to tell just which ones are going to be localized for the Western market.) Or the Free to Play titles either currently on, or on the way, to the console like Planetside 2, Deep Down, War Thunder, Everquest Next, etc.

Now, how much the indies, free to play and Japanese titles matter is, of course, a matter for you to decide personally, but it should still be noted the gap exists. =P

3. Though he did list Bloodborne in point 3, he said 'end of 2015,' which, given Bloodborne and The Order are both slated for a Febuary 2015 release, blasts that part of the argument right out of the water. =D All I can find for the Xbox One is a Q2 release for Quantum Break (if anyone has more up-to-date information, feel free to share,) some visual novels, couple of side-scrolling shoot-em-ups, an unspecified 2015 release for Crackdown (could be end of the year, could be earlier,) and of course Tomb Raider and Halo 5, both of which are, I believe, intended for end-of-year releases?(Again, if there are any meatier titles I missed with solidly estimated 2015 release dates, feel free to share, Internets! :3 )

Now, granted, one might point out 'Well, they probably haven't announced all their games!' and spot on, they probably haven't. But then, the same applies for Sony, so all we have to go on is the existing lineup for now.

One thing I do agree is that Sony doesn't have much left for the end of the year, aside from, I believe, Little Big Planet. ...but on the flip side, look at the number of 3rd party multiplat titles coming out during the holiday season, look at your wallet, and decide how much it bothers you that there's a couple less exclusives on one side than the other this holiday. =P
