Put to shame, no.
Surpass technically, yes.
PS2's GPU was more primitive than GCN and Xbox when it came to shaders.

Indeed they did, yes.
Just as with the Wii and Wii U, talented artists and technicians can create great looking games even with weaker tech. :)

We think in the same level my friend!
Such a shame 98% of the gamers dont think that way.
Games like uncharted 2 and 3 are waaay better looking than most high end uber pc games quz of the art design and the details.

A ps2 port running at 1080p 60fps in ps3? Is it impressive. Nope. Not at all. Why are your putting PC here? Did I mentioned PC? Nope. Please read my comment. Plus here everyone knows I am pro playstation gamer yet I am saying these. And you cant deny my points because sony promised and didnt deliver theose features. |
Your point is off topic. What does Sony's claim have to do with the performance of Wipeout and the theoretical performance of the PS4/XB1.
OP says PS3 can do it ergo PS4/XB1 should be able to do it. I'd even go in so far as to lump WII u in there cause its more powerful than PS3 too.

Of course its possible but for many games its just not worth the time it would take to optimize it. Unless the game is competitive it really doesn't need 60FPS IMO.

I disagree.
In this day and age i think every game should run without framerate problems.
If that means 720p 30fps soo be it...Yet they cant do it...
