I wonder if they get internet.

Should be possible. But to manufacture a required satilite on site would be a long waiting list of priorties.

As long as they can send a box with new games every year, sure. I prefer single player anyway.
Mountain biking on Mars would be awesome too. Might need some big tires to get enough grip in low g.

I remember seeing this last year but I am not old enough to sign up

Still it would be cool just to be ALIVE during the first manned landing on another planet

My claustrophobia tells me no.

If the majority of the group sent are hot chicks and they are skanky, I would do it cuz I'd be getting some possibly daily. Oh, and they must not be able to get pregnant.

NASA's got your back.

In 2015 NASA is launching a rocket that will retrieve an asteroid and bring it into the Moon's orbit in 2019. If everything goes as planned then Americans will walk on an asteroid in 2021, but NASA's tentative timeline says 'before 2025'. NASA will then send Americans, and apparently a Brit (the Brits better redirect the cash they spend on the ESA to NASA for awhile...) to Mars in the 2030s.

It's pretty amazing what NASA does with a budget consisting of belly button lint. They were granted 0.49% of the federal budget last year. That's the lowest amount of funds they've received from the feds since 1959 -- the second year of NASA's existence. (Yes, it took NASA a mere 11 years to land men on the Moon.)

Haha no. A giant waste of money and everyone's time.

Hmm.. In what sense would you say this is a giant waste of money?

no, i dont fit in that mission, there is no life on mars to study...

Mars is a planet completely populated by Robots tho... that sounds like such a cool place to visit.
