First of all I need to adreess some points.
- The game lacks social features/tools like clan support and proximity voice chat.
- The original thead started on GAF and I found really a interesting discussion to put here too.
- Yeap again we know it have issues with social tools but the points is how is it making you be more social and meet/talk new people.
Fist the original headline on GAF.

@TheExorzist Ever since the launch I've been pretty much addicted to this game, never really understanding why. I mean, even as someone who loves the game I will not deny that it's pretty bland. You are basically doing the same shit over and over again. So why am I loving it so much? |
Now my honest opinion.
I already said Destiny changed my gaming life and it come to how it make me more opened to talk more on voice chats and unknown/random people. I never had meet/talk with so many gamers in my life like I do in Destiny... in others social games I just did text chat or talked in private party chats with friends... Destiny changed that.
My friend list almost doubled after this game and I'm in talk with random/new friends everytime even about things not related to Destiny... it is all the time with different guys, cultures, timezones and languages.
My English improved a bit (I guess) and even the Brazilians are massive using voice comunication now.
The game even lacking social tools made you became a more social gamer.
It is crazy and wonderful at the same time.
BTW after think a lot about... I"M IN THE TEAM OF NO TEXT CHAT EVEN IN DESTINY.
At first I thought the lack of ingame text chat was a issue and needed to be fixed but now I believe ingame text chat should never be added while the lack of social tools needs to be fixed with voice chat features like proximity chat, ingame clan support, etc.
And you? What do yo thing?
For me it is a BIG YES.
