No one's following Nintendo but Naughty Dog makes games the companies like Ubisoft usually make. So when they see UC4 at 60fps and the new Tomb Raider or AC is only 30fps they'll criticize it.

And fps being extra work for no benefits is the reason why we didn't made 1080p, clarity and depth are also useless.
Give theoption of extra whistle and bells or fluidity so each gamer to decide.
Stop BS on industry dropping when you aren't the whole industry, just an incompetent bafon doing damage control.

Maybe wait until UC4 is released before we say its in 60fps...yes?

Not gonna happen.
60fps will never be standard.
I still remember people claiming it would become the baseline for the PS2 and Gamecube generation back in the late 90s, then again with PS3/360, then again with PS4/Xbone. Fast forward to 2014, and devs continue to mostly opt for more detail at 30fps, and that's the way it's going to stay.
And i am dropping Ubi games! What a coincidence.
Seriously though, that is just ballony. 60fps is great for gaming. Dont give me the cinematic weak excuse. Its not a movie, its a game. The more responsive it is with my commands the more connected to the game world i will feel.
The assassin's creed team is full of condescending devs to their audience. I encourage everyone to not resign to them under foot. The more you let them step on you, the more they will do it.
Also, the only reason why 60fps isnt the norm is because of lazy developers. Its a game, not a movie. The focus needs to be on the gameplay and not on the graphics. Graphics already hit a bottleneck with the human eye, focus on what can still make a game better.
Bloody hell, these game industry dev idiots will never learn why 24fps on film looks like it does...look up Rotary disc shutter in wiki, you ignorant morons.

The mass market is a poor judge of quality, in general. If we used them as a measuring stick, then Twilight, Justin Beiber, and McDonalds would be the best things ever. |
That is true. This is the main reason why i completely ignored the whole motion tech "revolution" brought by the likes of PS Move, Kinect and especially the Wii.
Hahahahaha. Thus continues the circle of hype, first it was all about 1080@60, now developers are actively trying to convince consumers that lower performance is superior. Soon, most of them won't even be talking about framerate any more because they won't want to draw attention to how bad it is.
