60fps will never be standard. 

I still remember people claiming it would become the baseline for the PS2 and Gamecube generation back in the late 90s, then again with PS3/360, then again with PS4/Xbone. Fast forward to 2014, and devs continue to mostly opt for more detail at 30fps, and that's the way it's going to stay.
