Wow, so... no more NPD numbers? Aqua is gone. Seems like she requested a ban.

It is not a crime, you cannot go to jail if you do it. But it is a breach of contract, so NPD can choose to stop taking your money and not give you the info anymore. There might be some financial reprecussions as well, but it is a matter of a contractual agreememt between two parties.

so the risk is they will not renew my subscription if I make their data public.

Something like that. Subscription costs a lot of money, and is not open to just anyone, and the data is very valuable to the players in the industry, nobody really likes risking losing that data.

VGC has X360 in USA at 43.6 Million.  The 1st table of NPD data in the OP has 41.7 Million.

All other consoles have small differences +/- 200k or so, while X360 has a 1.9 Million difference.

Lol, I found  this on  Gematsu comment section about some Neogaf members commenting on GAF, the comment is made to jpeg so i just post the url here, it made me chukle, i dont know this person whose commenting  but he mentioned Ioi, I guess he also members of VGC because he knew about the conflct within 10 millions PS4 announcement.

So Pachter is now safe in the knowledge that he can spread is nonsense without being proven wrong by insiders? I'm not liking the sound of that at all.
