Driveclub is getting some low review scores. Low 70s at the moment. SUP WITH THAT?!?!

Could it be Driveclub is mediocre... or did the awesomeness of FH2 make it seem mediocre in comparison to critics?!?!

No. It looks boring compared. Horizon has more to separate it than Drive Club as an alternative racer. GT by itself has the potential to do what Forza and Horizon do combined  because it has always been the total package game. Drive Club is really of no consequence even though it is a solid title. To me it is just unneeded. If Sony wanted an alternative racer they should've stuck to better packaged arcade racer to combat need for speed or something.

Nah, it would always be compared to Gran Turismo which has it beat in pretty much everything except visuals.

Driveclub would have recieved better reviews if it followed the recipe.
Open world racer arcade or sim racer track not something in between
Making the clubs an actual addition
Hundreds of cars (which don't have a really unique feel the only specs that matter are 4WD/FWD or RWD and class)
Dynamic weather at launch
And most important don't create a massive fucking hype, see the meta of Watch Dogs and Destiny, which should both be around 85.

I don't care much for the points I listed so for me it is an instabuy, but I can see why it Critically fails to deliver.
And no most critics don't care much for the fact that each car counts 250.000 polygons and feels and sounds unique.

Titanfall and horizon 2 prove that good games are praised well by reviews still. 60/70 is still a fairly good game, just not an amazing game. Driveclub would have reviewed the same I think. After playing it yesterday its handling and invisible walls have alot of problems. I've heard some try and compare it to Pgr. It's nowhete near Pgr. Pgrs handling is completely different and isn't littered with false walls where they aren't needed.

Would have more competition and wouldn't have 11 extra months of polish. I think it would be worse.

Maybe reviewers are readjusting their scales for the new gen :)

Somewhere along the way gaming media got upset about this game, and I think nothing was going to change that. I listen to multiple gaming podcasts throughout the week, and the last few weeks leading up to this title have been brutal. Many just took an I don't care about this game stance. It is almost as if this title could not escape the shadow of Gran Turismo, even though it is a completly different game.

I think it is another case of it being a Sony game, so threrefore it falls under harsher critisism than that of other publishers. Had this came out from EA, UBi, Capcom, ect. it would have easily recived more attention, and otained the low to mid 80's meta score that it actually achieves.

I disagree. It is what it is, a flawed game but still playable and fun. I just hate it when people start comparing everything that came before it.
