I ignored Rol and Veks advice beforehand but now I decided I'll take up on it.

I'll ask a simple and to the point question: are stealth jabs allowed?.

see to me that appears to be a plain and simple stealth jab because I was making comments before above about PC and console piracy in general being bad, apparently some users on here condone piracy and think it;s a good thing, then of course we boil it down to "piracy on consoles = good, Piracy on PC = bad".

Then there's that debate I had with Don who in the end resorted to saying I "spouted nonsense" along with this:

"You have been going for quite sometime complaining at all opportunities about Sony having 50% marketshare and how that is bad... you are always talking the same tune that no one is interested in talking besides you... PS2 era was fantastic in all systems so still you are just sprouting nosense."

That sounds a lot like "nobody cares about what you think" and honestly that's something I'm sure you guys really don't want at all in a community.

One is related to the console being jailbroken, one on a games meta score, one on a user talking about digital games and one talking about winning the console war.

I haven't been into a Sony thread that directly talks about marketshare and I tend to stay away from most Sony threads within the Sony board as you can see from the image.

now at the end of all that Don goes to make it personal to saying how Sony dominating somehow affects me deeply when really I ws just trying to point out how the other parties and fans suffer and obviously that doesn't even get taken in.

So really so far I honestly feel as if reporting is going to solve this kind of issue so I thought I'd post it here as I just feel like these kind of people just don't and won't make other new users feel welcome, but again that's probably the inner "policeman" talking to me but I just don't see stealth jabs and claiming someone spouting nonses as one being civil, well especially not in most dicussions.

Is that really a stealth jab? Reading the thread, I don't see at all how it was directed at you personally. It's a pretty common thought that obviously many publishers still share.

I asked for to be locked because I thought people weren't gonna be interested in the discussion now it seemed like they were.

What was wrong was the toxicity of the comments and behaviour of the people taking part in the thread.

I'm not going to push things further here. But it is clear nothing positive was going to come out from this thread.

I locked it because you asked for it in the mod reports.  It was an old report but I had no indication that you had changed your mind eitherin the thread or in the mod reports and so I locked it per your request.  I thought the thread was doing alright but I always lock a thread when asked to by the creator.

I demand that Carl makes Moderation-Free thread 2.0 for two or three days. Feel like it would really blow some people's steam away, and overall makes us more relaxed. :P

We've never made a "moderation free" thread. We've made roast threads, but not moderation free threads. We're really not trying to go for the "console wars" thing from GameSpot.
