Forums - Nintendo - So Those Hyrule Warriors EU Sales...

Its ok, I mean 70k opening week is not what you would call great, but for a niche genre its not bad.

But the number is not good enough for the overly optimistic predictions like 1 Million WW LT. The game should be considered a relative success if it reaches 500k +.

IMO Bayonetta is what really matters, its better quality, targetted at western audiences, successor to a good first game (which is packed in), higher budget. Plus the genre really needs the boost.

How does one run out of download codes?

Easy... Nintendo produces X amount for each store, and sends them, store sold that much copies of the game and cannot ask more from Nintendo, the store get a limited amount and in USA they could just ask for more at any moment, but that does not apply to every country, is not like they get a generator of codes.

Cool to know.

great news for me since i only expect around 35k-50k on its opening day. hope it added a few bump on the hardware too.

Roughly expected I suppose. But that is by no means good. 70K launch for any game across all of Europe is floppity flop flop material. People expected a flop and their expectations were met =/=good.

What it does show is throwing the Zelda peeps into a non-LoZ type game does nothing for sales.

Pretty good start. The Zelda theme really helped.

Compare to Warriors Orochi 3: Ultimate which is only at ~30k WW sales.

My 8th gen collection

way better than i expected, my guesstimation was 43k in some other thread.

Right because no game can be developed on a budget understanding what it can sell -_-

Seriously theirs companies that survive on games that sell no more than 100k WW and have been doing so for years.

Great FW loads higher than I expected. Can NA get 150k plus? that woulg get lifetime to almost 400k alreadywhich ispretty good for a warriors game.

Wow, that's amazing for EU!
