Forums - Nintendo - So Those Hyrule Warriors EU Sales...

Not bad, not bad at all.

Not good at all. Those sales would've sufficed for a short period of time in the early 2000's but not today. Its actually a joke. Nintendo has no hype these days.

Yeah...and it was expecting to get a boost off of the Zelda name. We'll see how the NA sales turn out.

Not bad, it will be good if it reaches 100k next week

i'm more shocked at ps4 destiny holding 3ds smash bros out of first place, on it's second week on the market.
even with the popularity and install base of the 3ds, that's some impressive feat.

Its not bad for this type of game, NA will be good I mean here in Mexico the store ran out of Pre-order DLC codes

How does one run out of download codes?

@Vena they request a certain amount based on pre-orders but everyone at the last day went to pre-order the game this is actually official close to 35k were sold and the store only request 12k.

... it's called Hyrule Warriors, not Legend of Zelda. It doesn't have "the Zelda name".

Perhaps you meant "the Zelda IP"?

Anyway, the best-selling Musou game in Europe is Dynasty Warriors 4... and it sold 210k. Hyrule Warriors has sold more than 35% of that in two days. It was on PS2, so no detailed information for that game, but the best-selling Musou game of the last generation in Europe was One Piece: Pirate Musou for PS3, which opened with 36.5k and has sold 205k to date (released two years ago nearly to the day). That was on a system with an install base of 26.5 million in Europe. The Wii U has an install base in Europe of 1.7 million. That's right, it had a stronger first week by about 100% while being on a system with an install base just 7% of the size. And if it sells with the same proportion of first-week to lifetime, then Hyrule Warriors can expect somewhere around 415k, which would make it the best-selling Musou game in Europe ever, with the next nearest being just 50% of its sales.

You don't think it got a boost?
