Well when I saw the last trailer of XV it reminded me a little of Gaur plains (you know, when the guy attacked those dinosaur monsters)
If I have to choose one of them, I will go with X since Xenoblade was one of the best JRPG I played in my life (FF7 wins only by nostalgia) and since I can't buy both WiiU and PS4, I will miss this Final fantasy entry.

On a side note, I think both games while similar in some aspects, they will be very different games in execution. And sales-wise FFXV will crush X.

No it isn't. Xenoblade is only brought up in FF15 threads, not vice versa.

I still think that Square at their worst is better than Monolith at their best.

I have played XII, and it gets some things right, the World was VERY big (though not really open) World and there was a lot of customization of skills through the gambit system. It SHOULD have been an awesome game.

The problems?:

A lot of the gambits being the same just activation times would be quicker (such as "Cast Cure when health reaches < 75%, and Cast Cure when health reaches <50%) making half of the gambits pointless really.

Also, literally no control over the battle whatsoever. You literally click attack and the game plays itself. Is there ANY way for the player to control the actions in the game? Yes, but every time you have to go to a menu which pauses the game, choose the attack, then choose the enemy. It would require WAY more patience and time to beat even small enemies than most, if not anyone, has. In Xenoblade the regular attacks are automatic, but the skills are manual which still allows the player to control the flow of battle. There are also the premonitions and tri attacks to add a little variation to strategy and show some cinematics. It all comes together to make battles in Xenoblade quick and strategic as well as satisfying to play. XII was just slow in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong, XII is not a bad game, Xenoblade is just a lot better in my opinion.

I think this debate is happening because:

On one hand are the people who aren't willing to drop $400+ on a PS4, FF Type-0 to try the demo, and FF XV when it comes out.
On the other are the people who think that the Wii U is crap and won't Xenoblade X because it's a Wii U exclusive.

On a third hand are the people who think P5 is better than both of them.

On a fourth are people who don't care.

On a fifth are people who are getting both.

On the sixth hand are people who actually want to discuss the merits and demerits of each game objectively.

Squaresoft, maybe. (And really only late Squaresoft, though I do greatly appreciate their contribution to my favorite genre.)
