I disagree, I think there is no comparison, they are all better than Square-Enix.

I disagree. I think there is no comparison, none of them are even on the same tier as Square Enix.

Good talk.

Yep.

It seems to me that the producer of the Xeno series is obsessed with the letter X for some reason...

Can't wait for the inevitable XenoXiphoid XXX.

I'm waiting for the rhythm spinoff. XenoXylophone on the 3DS.

Gee these people who don't even understand the metagame.

Get with the times people, the tier list was updated las week.

Tier A: Atlus, Monolith Soft, Namco Bandai.

Tier B: Tri Ace, Compile Heart.

Tier C: Square Enix.

The only one who has a fair disadvantage is Square Enix thanks to a lack of quality titles. They have poor matchup against most of the ones up there. There is one favorable matchup though and that's against Compile Heart. It's 50-50.

I have played XII, and it gets some things right, the World was VERY big (though not really open) World and there was a lot of customization of skills through the gambit system. It SHOULD have been an awesome game.

The problems?:

A lot of the gambits being the same just activation times would be quicker (such as "Cast Cure when health reaches < 75%, and Cast Cure when health reaches <50%) making half of the gambits pointless really.

Also, literally no control over the battle whatsoever. You literally click attack and the game plays itself. Is there ANY way for the player to control the actions in the game? Yes, but every time you have to go to a menu which pauses the game, choose the attack, then choose the enemy. It would require WAY more patience and time to beat even small enemies than most, if not anyone, has. In Xenoblade the regular attacks are automatic, but the skills are manual which still allows the player to control the flow of battle. There are also the premonitions and tri attacks to add a little variation to strategy and show some cinematics. It all comes together to make battles in Xenoblade quick and strategic as well as satisfying to play. XII was just slow in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong, XII is not a bad game, Xenoblade is just a lot better in my opinion.

The exact same issue I had with Xenoblade

The only difference I guess is the control of special attacks and the flow of battle through premonitions, combined attacks and tri attacks.... So the battles are literally nothing alike.

What's wrong with the letter X? When I was a 10 year old I used to make up titles for videogames. The letter X was definitely my favourite one to slap on sequels!

Well I would get both if FF15 was coming to Wii U, however as it stands it seems like XCX will get my attention, and I may pick up FF15 a few years down the road when I can get a PS4 cheap.

^ This, though I'd give Compile a pass for not having millions to dump in a game.

I'd go for the number 2 myself but...

That's a common mistake. Doing numbered editions is fine but you risk getting to the installment number 25. And that's definitely not cool... So slapping an X and changing the subtitle of the videogame is the better choice... at least for me.

Besides the letter X is cool.

I didn't anyone would be silly enough to take Anfebious' post seriously. His Rol game is better than I give him credit for.

I'd go for the number 2 myself but...

If it had Shulk, Fiora, Riki, Dunban, Rein, Millia, or Sharla I'd say go for it. Hell, if it even had the ACTUAL Monado I'd say go for it.

However.....

It's not a 2 kind of game.
