Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Has anyone actually used TVii for anything ever?

If i need to find out what is going on instead of waiting for the TV guide's TV guide sure yeah. Other than that no. Although when you open it, it expands the remote so much

Netflix works outside of TVii, so no

Do we, Europeans, even have such thing? :/

Boy everyone discriminates against Tier 2 countries.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

I set up the remote control thing but I never use it. Its kinda slow and I can't check the TV guide with it.

Nope... tried to set it up for tv, but failed. It's just easier for me to use the X1 for all tv purposes.
I did however get the Wii U gamepad to work with input and volume though :)

When I had cable I used it. The football stuff was pretty cool. You could predict the next play or talk about the play that just happened. I dropped cable, though, because I can't stand commercials.

I use the TV button all the time as a remote to turn on my TV...but I really wish that button was glow in the dark or something, especially when the light from the screen is glaring at you.

I think this kind of functionality and its lack of use by many gamers here is further proof that Nintendo doesn't need to throw in a bunch of gimmicks on their game console. We play games for the games, not for the add ons.

If it actually had my satellite TV provider as one of the choices and the interface wasn't so slow I'd use TVii much more than I do. The sports integration is nice but often updates long after whatever has actually happened on TV to matter or be useful.

I use the TV remote function much more than my actual remote, it's great.

I use the "TV" Button for power on when I turn the console on, and for adjusting the volume quickly.

I don't care if it's kinda lame but I just want TVii to work for us EUropeans.

Never lived up to the potential my imagination saw it having before it was released.

Didn't Nintendo abandon that?

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
