Forums - Gaming Discussion - Xbox exclusive D4 flops with less than 10k copies sold in first week (according to the game's leaderboards)

not happening anytime soon or not at all

Sad that people are taking this as an opportunity to criticize the Xbox community, like an extremely niche game like this would have sold boatloads somewhere else.

Not necessarily no, but I would have bought it if were on the PS4 and many former Xbox fans switched to PS4 this gen. It would have sold better as a multiplat and it would have sold better if it were a PS4 exclusive as we are starved for games over at this camp.

What the hell is D4? Never heard of it til now.

Pretty sure MS funded the game so it's not nearly as grim as it looks, it probably would be multiplat if it were not. I guess PC is still an option, regardless niche games... are well niche. There's niche games that sell poorly on any system, it happens.

Game is still new anyways, let's wait a bit before we start generalizing (not saying you did).

Don't judge Kinect gameplay without trying it first!

It's not that bad once you get used to the controls.  Did you go and search for the worst play through with it? The one guy wasn't reading the directions just making jokes.

Like iceland said I doubt it would have sold much better as a PS4 exclusive, or a Wii U exclusive. If MS funded it they should have put it on PC and 360 as well... it's not like the game was going to sell people on buying an Xbox One. It's one of those enhancer titles; just makes the overall library of a system look better with diversity. The kinect controls are optional, so I would hope the game gets put on 360 and PC.

Swery confirmed on twitter it's not coming to PS4.

That being said I did download it, still installing right now and waiting to play :)

Heavy Rain was a niche title that PS gamers pushed to almost 3M sold.  And even the less well received Beyond: Two Souls to over 1M.  What's ridiculous is to assume that putting this game on a system who's audience seems to appreciate niche titles more, and who's company of origin actually pushes niche titles even if they don't sell the greatest, would have resulted in similar sales.
