The anti-GG faction wants to force values into people that are not necessarily the right ones. Its their own values, wich they chose (and are convinced are the only acceptable ones, when they arent), but different people can choose different values they view as rightful.
I support that freedom of opinion. The fact that a gamer is not interested in social debates, shouldnt be an excuse to socially shun them and insult them.

The problem is that within each faction there are people who take things to the extreme, beeing difficult for each one to claim they are completely right. Internet extremists are all over the internet, it is not a problem with gaming alone.

Oh, and after that it was discovered that a group of jounalists arrange agendas for social discussion on several big websites amongst themselves, wich apparatly reveals corruption and the actual existance of this anti-GG faction.

I wish both "sides" of the #gamergate fiasco would just get the hell out of my hobby and leave me to it.

Wow. I expected people here to know what GamerGate is already. Just go to /gg/ if you want to see the pro-GG side of the story, then go to some random game news sites to find out the anti-GG side of the story.

This is the only videogames forum I have visited which isn't constantly talking about Gamergate, and I am very glad for it. It should just end already.

What did he say that was true in anyway? She didn't sleep with those guys at or for reviews. She only she started to date the guy at Kotaku after they broke up and he never reviewed her game. If you still think she did anything you need to give your head a shake.

I will agree we need to open better lines of commuication in order improve video game press and the industry in general.

We don't know why she slept with them, and their relationship could have resulted in increased publicity. Honestly, the whole situation is a mess, but if you think she is just an innocent party you are as good as crazy. This isn't a thread about Zoe Quinn, so I don't think we should get into this here, but dig a little deeper and you will find a mountain of dirt...

'Gamergate' is everything that is wrong with our 'culture'. It makes me ashamed to call myself a gamer and all right thinking and feeling people should feel the same way.

All 'gaters' are misogynistic scum who don't deserve the air they breath. Cowardly, woman hating bullies, hiding because the least legitimate cause in existence to excuse their vile, vitriolic rage.

Cracked have done some genuine journalism on the subject, people who aren't waste of human flesh and bone should read these before reaching a judgement on this grotesque 'movement'.
