Xbox One is still tracking ahead of the Xbox 360 despite being $100 dollars more than the Xbox 360 at launch.

Xbox One is still moving tons of multi-platform games despite the Playstation 4 version being higher resolution, which shows

that many Gamers just don't care. The Naysayers said people would care and that the resolution difference

would make an impact on Xbox One sales.

The Xbox One version Call of Duty: Ghosts even outsold the Playstation 4 version in America despite the Playstation 4 being ahead

in Console sales.

True Next-gen first party Xbox One Games like Forza Horizon 2 are running in 1080p like Microsoft said.

The PS4 has sold now twice as many...which means 2/3 or the market (the majority) do care about power.

Your prediction is just absurd and has no basis besides you wanting (for some bizzare reason) a console to do better than another...most likely because it is the one you bought and you can't handle the idea that you might have bought the wrong one.

Power didn't push the NES, PS1, PS2, OR Wii ahead.

Because power back then made little difference. Even if you doubled the power of rivals, you wouldn't see much of a difference. Now though, you do and people have noticed it. Plus power now allows for a more varied game library which devs are opting for. Combine this with price and market image, and it is misguided to assume that the PS4 won't utterly dominate this generation.

The Wii wasn't that long ago. Another thing, how does the PS4's power allow for a more vaired game library? Aside from the resolution issue (which is overblown), there isn't a lot that PS4 can do that the Xb1 can't.

The PS4 has roughly 50% more power - that is a lot. This allows for more effects and mechanics eg destructible environments, use of particle physics, more objects on screen etc. People who think power only improves resolution need to either study or use a game engine to see how games actually work

Facts are everywhere that show that XBO is doing badly everywhere globally in the planet and only doing OK in the US, while still being outsold by PS4.Your hopes and dreams can't change it Jegga!

Being outsold by PS4 != Doing Badly... This is a concept a lot of people have trouble with...

It's not doing particularly well irrespective of the PS4.

I personally expect it to end up being a success in the long run (i can't see any reason it wouldn't be), but with exception to its great launch the X1's performance thus far has been mediocre at best. Prior to un-bundling the kinect it was doing downright awfully.

I know about all of that stuff. The PS4 is more powerful, but it's not like the PS360 vs Wii. The XB1 will still get all of the big AAA games and whatnot. You talk about the power difference, but how many 3rd party devs will actually use this? Destiny looks better on PS4, but it's not something to run out and buy a PS4 over (not like Uncharted anyway), and I still don't understand what you mean by "varied game library". Most 3rd party devs put games on both consoles for financial reasons.

Microsoft didn't bother launching the X1 with dreams of selling about half the lifetime sales of the 360. And that's exactly where it's headed at best. The core diehard fanbase jumped in 2013 launch, but the market at large is skipping the X1. Networking effect will snowball this as casuals want the same console friends and family has. And even the most casual research tells people that ps4 is both more powerful and more popular.

Enjoy the x1, it has good games and will get more as well. But have no illusions, it's a significant failure for a variety of reasons, and almost any xbox fan could have drawn up a recipe for success. I'll give one here :

Intel i7 CPU
8gb ddr3 system memory
6gb gddr5 video memory
Nvidia Kepler 3tf video adapter
MATX vertical case
Bluray and hdmi 2.0
1tb hdd
128gb os ssd

Optional kinect
No online check in

$349

Yes, 349. If they can spend 2.5b on minecraft, if they want to dominate the living room, this could have done it.

I'll just be glad when mid-2015 hits and people (and MS) can stop using this ridiculous "outperforming the 360 for the same time period" BS. First of all, the 360's first full year was nothing to boast about. Even the PS3 outsold its first year, and that had a horrible launch. And 2nd, anyone with eyes can see that if things stay the way they are, and I don't really see any reason it would change, the 360 is going to pass the One and never look back in about 6 months or so. Maybe less, depending on how this holiday season goes. In other words, the One WILL NOT reach 80M+ like the 360, even with a much better start. Not even close.

I read your sig and 1 billion is not like 10 dollars. Microsoft only makes a profit through XBox live subscriptions. Not their games or consoles.
