Forza Horizon 2 X360 vs XBO Comparison Shows True Next Generation Difference

Forza Horizon 2 is a cross-generation release that is being developed by two different developers across two different platforms. Playground Games are the original creators of Forza Horizon 2 and they are developing the game exclusively on the Xbox One. The Xbox 360 version of the game is being developed by Sumo Digital and it will utilize Forza Horizon 1 engine. So how well does both verisons of the game compare to each other? You can check it out in the GIF comparison below.

The difference between both versions is not limited to textures only. The lighting, motion blur, draw distance and other effects, all receive a noticeable bump from the Xbox 360 version of the game.

Forza Horizon 2 will be released on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One on 30th September 2014.

Xbox One version looks great. But Xbox 360 version also holds up quite well. PS3 and Xbox 360 still amazes us despite being 8/9 years old.

The game is definitely pretty, but I really would have expected a much more noticeable difference between the two generations, particularly with it being a first-party title.

360 version still holds up pretty well imo, but if I was going to purchase FH2 I would obviously go with the Xbone version

Xbox 360 is still a beast.

Xbox One version looks nice, so does the 360 one considering it's last gen.

They both look nice. :)
I like when cross gen games actually look a lot different. Makes the last gen version worth playing for a different experience.

I'm sorry but I honestly can't tell a difference. Is this supposed to be a joke or something? If so, I apologize for not getting it lol.

Picture by picture, the differences look huge. In motion they don't.

Different time of day doesn't help the comparison, nor shrinking both down and using jpg. The difference is pretty small in those pics. Post some 1080p pics and you should better see the difference.

Anyway nice to know the 360 version holds up well.
