~86-87 I think for 3DS. I don't agree with it, but I think some sites will give it a lower score just because its the handheld version.

It's here! The reviews are here!
IGN: http://uk.ign.com/articles/2014/09/26/super-smash-bros-for-nintendo-3ds-review
Reviews range from 10/10 to 6/10 (http://www.gamesradar.com/super-smash-bros-3ds-review/), problems being the lag in multiplayer and the 3DS' shortcomings.
One surprise for me is the IGN review; which slams the Smash Run mode. Thought it looked pretty good!
And yes, here's Metacritic: http://www.metacritic.com/game/3ds/super-smash-bros-for-nintendo-3ds (88 after 22)

It's pretty funny, I expected Smash Run to be the make-or-break mode for the game. Instead Jose goes on and on about how great everything else is, then just kinda says 'Smash Run is meh, but who cares?'

I cant be the only one down on SSB 3DS can I??
Its like a Smash Bros Lite compared to Brawl and they expect me to use the Circle Pad. I dont know how you GCN controller users do it, I need my D-Pad or at least a Joystick. Even if they allowed me to use the D-Pad on 3DS its in a terribley uncomfortable position. Oh well Wii U version should be awesome (hoping they add more features back in)

I don't follow. More playable characters, more items/pokeballs/assist trophies, roughly the same number of stages, modes, and challenges, more collectable trophies, same or better online features, moveset customization which wasn't even in Brawl. What part of this is Lite?

So, I was right regarding the 3DS' version Metascore.... Nice.

Ok so maybe your right there is a lot of new stuff but characters, stages, trophies etc. is expected of the next game. Guess I shouldnt call it a lite but not a big step forward after all these years that we have come to expect from the series. As for online, sure it aint Brawl but Ive seen it still has some serious issues which is BS in 2014.

It's finally here. Well, nearly here. And with reviews coming as early as tomorrow morning, and the demo out as well, it's starting to feel like it too. So where will it finish on Metacritic? I'm thinking around the 90 mark, personally. But who knows. All I know is, I'll be playing it veeery soon and that's good enough for me! |
