Forums - Microsoft - Another Gamer Screwed by Microsoft

What I find so funny is the irony of what's written on the Xbox360 :
Xbox360 quote "Don't put too much ink on me, I'll might overheat." ....... problem now solved.

You need to realize, this isn't really MS that screwed this kid - it's some minimum wage or low wage employee who works at a company that represents MS. Either way, MS should fly the kid out to Seattle and get that console "siged" up again.

Why would the wage of the person cleaning the console make a difference?

tbh, I'm still trying to work out why I should give a damn, I mean, the signatures are not really that great
anyways (I mean in a sense of the famousness of the people who wrote the signature). If he wanted memories, I'm sure a camera would've done a better job.

Really, the title should be "Microsoft makes mistake, sadass upset", not "Another gamer screwed by Microsoft".

I'm just pointing out that it's not like it's Bill Gates or other MS Brass doing this to the kid.  It's some guy way down on the food chain.

Guys, if you noticed the pics, you would see that IT'S NOT THE SAME XBOX.

IT'S A FAKE.

 plz explain

If you look carefully, one of the pictures has these black markings on the case while in the second picture said black marks are gone. Clearly different consoles.

He actually got screwed over twice by Microsoft.

Firstly becuase of the terrible hardware.

Then his plea to keep his art and signatures was ignored.

I stand corrected, and I apologise.

the idiot who said sony doesnt care about ggamers cuz of the disc read error better look at this.

Tough shit. I had a storage unit once and a leak in the roof spilled water into my boxes full of pictures. All my wife's pictures and most of mine were ruined. I got 10 cents a picture from the insurance company because my memories aren't worth jack, only the physical damage is. This kid needs to suck it up and move on. He knew this was going to happen, otherwise he wouldn't have mulled over whether he should have sent it in at all and then call the guy and put a letter inside. He was cautious BECAUSE he knew this was a real possibility. He took a gamble and lost. End of story.

At least he has the oppurtunity in life to repeat and have people skribble on his console again. Maybe then it'll RROD once again and he can contemplate whether to send it back in yet again. Should be an interesting sequel of his bitchfest.

One of the post on that site suggest its a different case with a small smudge on it and the tech probably jacked the kids case and put a little ink on it! this sounds plausible!
My sons original gamertag Snaked u all G he had on his original xbox migrated to his 360 and earned 11500 achievements.
the original credit card I used had problems so they sent me a notice on his account to update the card before his account expired!
Will I updated his account was charged $49.95 and added another $25.00 for MS points too.
A month latter it said updated the credit card he couldnt log into live with his account!

I called MS and they said were sorry but they killed the account we try everything to get it reactivated but it was no use!

He's now Popshu Fruitchu we got that name out of his trash can a Popcorn bag a shoelace rapper and starburst fruitchew bag ! its sad but what do you do!

If it was my tag with 35000 gscore I would go postal!

I totally agree with Sqrl on this one - this was clearly a Cal Centre agent saying "yes i'll make a note of it so it doesn't get damaged" 10 minutes or so before the end of their shif not really getting just how valuable this is, not caring a great deal and not knowicng how the cleaning process works.

MS could turn this into a huge PR win for them and i'd personally be sorting out vip treatment of the highest deal - you had a lot of bungee franchise on your premium well how about an elite with the same artwork drawing on it and presented to you at bungee studios then straight onto E3 for vip treatment and arrange a press release, throw in some free games to boot and a lifetime Xbox gold membership then everybody will be saying wow MS really caress not only about the RROD - i'd have not problems trusting them if my 360 broke.

God that sucks... I feel sorry for the guy.

I drink your milkshake.
