What do you mean sell? Of course it will sell. Will it sell as well as the 3DS version though? That is extremely unlikely, the difference in user base alone should ensure that. The 3DS will likely end up in the 70 million region in lifetime sales and has actual hardware movement in Japan and elsewhere and Smash 3DS sold about one million first week in Japan alone.

it would sell great on Wii U and add the user base too. agree it might be around the MK8 sales. i also hope that Wii U would reach 10m by the end of the year.

It'll have a bigger opening than MK8 thats for sure. How much ltd depends on whether or not Nintendo can gather some good momentum this Christmas. 3DS version could actual be better for Smash on the Wii U in the long run by introducing a lot of players to the game. Overall, it's obvious this will be the biggest smash gave every made counting both versions, but by how much is the question.
